As we're in SF, my hubby was pretty stoked on showing me the Golden Gate bridge. It's actually where we took one of my favourite pictures of the two of us together. I'd already visited the States a lot prior, so there wasn't really a lot that he could show me that surprised me! He did take me shooting though, which I was surprisingly good at.

Ah thanks the range is a pretty interesting idea. Took me forever to ever go here even, first time for me only a few years ago.

I bought tickets for my freshly-arrived then-fiancee (and my parents) to the Hollywood Bowl's "Tchaikovskiy Spectacular" with fireworks. Since she is Russian, it was a case of "hand, meet glove".

We still have fond memories of the event. :content: Ah, the early days!

We went to a CVS, she had to buy hygene products and loved that it was open 24hrs and all the cosmetics they offered. We have done alot so far but gun range and petting a lion cub has been her favorite. I thought it was going to be going to the beach.

A great post, and one we can have some fun with.

When I brought my wife here, when we left the airport, it was dusk, and when we got on the interstate, and it got dark, she wanted to know,""where was the street lights and the public transportation""".,.,..(jeepneys, buses, taxi's etc.) I laughed so hard, I was embarrassed, so on the drive to our home, I had to explain the difference in transportation, and why no street lights on rural interstates.

I took her to town the next day, and showed her there was some taxi's and street lights.,.,.,.I cannot describe how funny this was. We still laugh about it to this day.

I took Olga to the local Costco. It was a real eye opener for her. She lived in a small town that had a pair of small supermarkets and about a dozen small shops. IHOP was also a fun experience for her.

Too bad Halloween would be over, otherwise a Haunted house/ corn maze thing would be fun. Suppose a Black Friday exp could be something we could do ONCE ;)

As a beneficiary, I've already been to see my Fiancee in the states, Walmart was a trippy experience for me. We have IMAX in South Africa, and a bunch of other cool things (Like Lions, Elephants and other wildlife, but also epic beaches, and massive malls. Anyone been to Gateway in Durban?)

I still love where I'm moving to (Maine). So that being said.

I really sincerely hope that our K1 isn't denied. We've been waiting a long time. Got NOA2 on the 30th of September, Now I'm just looking forward to the interview!

The first place I would love to take my husband to is a professional NBA game where his favorite team is playing against mine. We have made a list of all the places we would like to go. And for the children we have to go to Disneyworld or Disneyland. We are both still kids at heart :joy:

Great question!!!

I'd have to say The NYC Public Library in Midtown. My Fiance loves to read and is a truly incredible writer but books are censored in his country so this is something that he will truly enjoy! And its such a beautiful library!

I also want to show him the Museums, Central Park and the Subway!!! So fun to think about!

I want to take my hubby to Times Square to see all the flashy lights! Maybe a drive through the FDR and West side highway at night to view the beautiful skyline. But most definitely want to take him to Buka NYC, a Nigerian restaurant so he can feel rest assured he can always find a piece of home right here in New York!!!
