Hi - I have a valid 10 year multiple entry visa( tourist visa ) . Can i travel to the US with this visa while my 1- 130 is in progress , kindly help ..

In the future it would be best to start your own thread when you have a unique question. Yes you can still use your tourist visa to travel to the us when you have a pending I130.

you can use visitor visa but then have enough ties to return back home. Carry that proof coz CBP officer may prevent your entry as you will have a pending immigrant visa in system.

Yes you can visit. I have my third visit during our immigration process coming up next week.

CBP can't even see that you're in the immigration process until you submit your DS-260 at the NVC stage anyway.

Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning

April 5th 2016 - POE Newark. No questions asked.


April 14th 2016 - SSN received


May 10th 2016 - First day at my new job :dancing:

As others have said, be prepared to show ties home. Even if they don't know where/whether you are in the immigration process, the officer might well see marriage to a USC as a strong motivator to stay in the US.
