So, the only medical date available for us is three days before my husband's interview. Will this be a problem, so close to the interview?

Also, I'm wondering how important it is to "overprepare" and bring all documents to the interview, even ones the NVC are supposed to send with your file. It would be a pain to get my joint sponsor's I864 and tax info all over again, plus the only certified translation I had of my husband's birth certificate I sent to the NVC, etc.....

better safe than sorry?

Take all your proof of legit relationship. My husband and I went through an interview before with K1 (leaving for family emergency without advance parole is how we ended up in the CR1 process)

WIth our K1, we submitted a big pile of relationship evidence prior to the interview, so we assumed the consulate would have all that. She had none of it! She put us in further administrative processing while giving us 60 days to submit all of it electronically.

Could she be K1? They schedule their own interviews. I wish CR1 applicants/petitioners could have that same privilege.

Im cr1, when your case gets expedited I guess the consulate just has you schedule your own interview. Like I said though I don't see any availability for September or October. So frustrating.

Dweels76, any idea what we are looking at for Mumbai Consulate? I read that it takes 15 days to a month, but there are people with July CC who are still waiting for interviews. Any idea what that is about?

First Available Appointment Is Thursday November 5, 2015 as of now for anyone to schedule interview at Mumbai.

it appears they have assigned slots for October.

I have already signed up for this as I will need to do later once I have interview date to schedule fingerprint appointment.

after signing up, you can select type of visa, state of residence and based on this you will have earliest date on left side corner.

I chose state Gujarat and CR1, it automatically picks Mumbai consulate and earliest CR1 appointment availability. when I changes visa type to tourist visa (B2) - I see my date is changed to September 9.

It really sucks falling in love with someone from another country. I wish that there were no liars and then we wouldn't have to go through so much red tape.

My husband and I have only been able to see each other for just a few short weeks every year for the past 5 years.

My oldest is starting to go through puberty and could really use his dad and our almost 4 year old barely knows what his dad looks like outside of a video chat.

My husband didn't even get to be at his birth or meet him until he was 2 months old. He was a preemie and the tickets had already been bought assuming he'd be born full term.

So it's hard on all of us who have to be separated from our loved ones, and it is completely unfair.

I dream for the day when we no longer have to say goodbye and my children don't have to grow up without their dad.

It really does suck. At times I feel like we're being punished for following our hearts. With how connected this world has become you'd think policies would have been changed to reflect the change in connections. My 1 year anniversary is the end of this month and we've spent a total of 19 day out of that year together. i wanted a kid right after we got married but had to put it off because I couldn't face being pregnant and alone.

But happier days are coming. You are so close to the end- just continue being strong and think about the day when goodbye only means "I'll see you in a few hours.

I wouldn't rely on a biometrics schedule website to make conclusions about CR1 slot availability.
