Why is it that they can review an EP case and issue a checklist in 11 days but once you respond to the checklist it takes FOREVER... 28 days and counting.... I've called and they said it's taking 30-42 days to review cases. But everyone on here is getting CC in 20 days. Why?!?!?

You can start collecting all the docs needed for AOS and IV and then send them right away with the bar code given via email. Best of luck to you!

They confirmed when I called them earlier this week. The rep also said hopefully I'd know something next week. But it just seems ridiculous.

Just to make clarity on all the I-864 confusion and when the new forms come in to play (sorry if this has already been posted).

07/02/15. (Starting 10/06/15, USCIS will only accept the 07/02/15 edition. Until then, you can use the 03/22/13 edition.) The edition date can be found at the bottom of the page on the Form and Instructions

Recently 20-21 days is the time we have seen for NVC to review your documents.

Wow! Your good! Just got an email now from NVC saying they received my documents on August 31. Would that be considered my scan date?

We just received ours this morning. So it's taking 7 days for them to send it out. You should get yours by early next week (Tuesday).

I wonder what the reason is behind the long wait. It's obviously not automated like some of the messages. Unless it is but it's triggered by something other than them changing the status to case complete. Edited September 3, 2015 by draga

I agree, you would think this notification would go out a day or two after your CC. For whatever reason it seems like the 7 days to receive CC confirmation email is standard.

I'm curious now, so I'll be keeping a close eye on people's updates. It could be that you get it once the case is actually put into line for an interview.

I think it does have to do with the interview queue. You may be onto something.

Maybe they are starting to communicate with the consulate to schedule an interview date.

I have been checking the CEAC website about twice or sometimes three times a day, I have been seeing some people getting CC around 20 or 21 days....I even seen someone get theirs on here a couple earlier than the 20 day mark. I already checked today twice. Funny enough, I was just about to go to bed, and I decided to sign on to the CEAC just to check and to my surprise OMG......OMG.......3 N/A's IN 17 DAYS.....WOW.....I'm going to try to see if I can get through and call them. So it's a fact it can change anytime.

That is amazing news!! Congrats!! You have no idea how much hope you give us all!! Hopefully the trend continues 15-21 day review, and for all of us to get CC soon! Please let us know when you get notified for the interview date! I also want to thank you for having such a detailed Timeline, as it helps us all!!
