You can be together for Christmas, if you can process each and every step with no hiccups. You see, you have a leg up on other Embassy's because you are processing through the Philippines and a lot of the procedures you will do yourself. So it's up to you how fast you want to proceed.

I'll offer you some help for free and it's my guide for the step by step processing for US Embassy Manila. If you follow the steps you will by-pass a lot of the gotcha's that the Philippine Government entities can through in your path. I have been down the road your taking and I outline my experiences and the experiences of 100's before you. It's all up to date and it will get you that visa sooner than later with much less headaches.

I actually got your links bookmarked already, they're very helpful.. Thanks a lot!!! ? if the estimates remain to be true (fervently praying), then we will get our NOA 2 on the 1st or 2nd week of October. The remainder of October will be used for gathering docs for the visa. November will be for medical, visa interview and CFO. December will be for getting ready and "see you again" meet ups with family and friends. And off we go on the 1st week of January 2016. I have a K2, so I need to make sure we don't leave anything important behind.

I'm sure I'll have lots of queries along the way and I sure will not hesitate to ask. Again, I'm glad to have found a support system here. Really grateful ?

You can shorten that if you begin to get your paperwork for the Embassy interview now rather then later. Visit the Oslo US Embassy website for the process if you have not already done so. Also, visit the sub-forum for your country here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/95-europe-eurasia-except-the-uk-and-russia/.

Many people there are processing ahead of you and can give you their experience.

Oslo is not the embassy where they process the K1 Visas, all of that is done through Sweden so Oslo's site has no information on the process for this type of visa. You have to go to Sweden's for all of that. :)

Yes, I'm already part of the Scandinavian forum on here so I've gotten some helpful info. there. Also, both myself and my fiance have been looking into what is needed, and he has already started gathering some of the paperwork that isn't time sensitive. But I do have a question about the financial supporting documentation and when you should actually start collecting that because I've read on several forums here that if its to early of a date, they may reject it and others say to start asap. So when is the best time to start getting that paperwork together? Should you wait until after you get the NOA2 or start before hand? This has always concerned me since I don't want to gather that paperwork too soon and then have them reject it because its too "old".

Thanks for the heads up on processing through Sweden. I went over to the Oslo website for the US Embassy and read the following:

All immigrant visa and diversity visa interviews and adjudications for residents of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden take place at the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden. For general information on immigrant visas and immigrant visa processing, we refer to the U.S. Embassy in Stockholm.

So I stand corrected and you taught me something new. Thanks for sharing that with me. :thumbs:

Now onto your question about gathering documents. The petitioner needs to submit their 2014 IRS tax form and W2's (these two items can be sourced now) and letter of employment, current employment pay stubs should be gathered No Later Than a month before your interview (these docs need to be current).

Hi all!

My fiance (petitioner) sent in our I-129F paperwork on the 15th of September via FedEx and it has arrived at the Dallas Lockbox as of the 18th!

Waiting patiently for the NOA1 now. We would love to be together for next summer, so as long as this process stays on track with the noted estimated timeline we should be golden!

Can't believe that after almost 9 years of dating, we're finally going to get this rolling. :D

I'm thankful for FedEx because they a) have great service, b) send things quicker than usual, and c) you can always count on them to find your stuff if it goes missing... at least that has been my experience. No e-notification yet from USCIS but I'm *hoping* for that some time this week.

I wish we had fed-exed it now! We sent ours on the 15th as well but haven't gotten an e-notifcation yet.

I'm hoping to get to the US for the start of summer as well :D

If you sent it on 15, it should have arrived on Friday or tomorrow(Monday), and will take about 2-3 days to scan documents, deposit your check and issue NOA1.... So I would say probably Wednesday.

Hello everyone!!

I'm a fresh September filer as we mailed our packet last Friday and it got delivered to Texas today :joy:

With your help, I found out that every forms were being rerouted to Cali! That's awesome!!

We did not expected to have the NOA2 before December... We'll have to adjust I guess!

Good to find some supports!

We did our I-129F application by ourselves, and I'm the beneficiary from Paris, France and he his from NY.

Oh and yeah, I'm also OCD about the paperworks :blink: I had to send my fiancé two Fedex packages to make sure that everything was perfect!

Hello Everyone. Chuck and Rosana here and I'm Chuck, the petitioner. Sent our I-129f on the 15th and it arrived via USPS on the 17th to the Dallas Lockbox. No other news as of yet but from what I've read here I'm very hopeful that it will be any day now.

We are very excited to have begun the process and are hoping to be together before Valentine's Day.
