Be confident in your relationship and the proof you have. Bring more than needed to the interview for the peace of mind. You have a real and legit relationship, you have nothing to worry about! :)

I saw this and decided to call, and they received mine this morning too! Phew!

But no case number yet, did you get yours? How long does it usually take? The man on the phone said up to 42 days, but I'm really hoping that's not true.

Yay ! :)

And not sure, we got our case number right away. I would just call tomorrow again !

Hi everyone,

I checked my case status on the CEAC website and it says that the case was created today. How is it possible that prior to my fiancé's interview it had a different date. She was approved for her visa. Does this mean that she might get her visa soon?

Seems we've stalled out. The email with the link of instructions, a list of specific locations for the medical and an interview date, never arrived. My fiancée has called and left a message, but no response, thus far. She was going to try again, today, but it's not likely there will be a response to that attempt before next week...if we're lucky. -_-

Congrats to everyone who recently got their NVC number!! ^_^

I've been reading from the shadows the last few days but I figured I would come out and say hi.

My fiancee's NOA2 was September 21st but up until today NVC says they havent received the paperwork yet. I called USCIS to check and verify they did send it to NVC or see where the paper is but they say they cant formally look into it until 30 days have passed :P.

Does anyone know of any "magic" words to use so that USCIS can look into it and see where the paperwork actually is?

Hmmmm.... our NOA2 was September 17th. I spoke to NVC tonight and they still haven't received it. 30 days now. Wah! Is it worth calling USCIS? What's the best approach?

Hello Heather&Kevin. I cant advise as to what the best approach is as we are in a similar boat, however I have read online that sometimes its good to get USCIS to find out where exactly your paperwork is. That way if it was sent elsewhere or misplaced by accident they can find it.

When I called USCIS earlier today they told me they cant look for my paperwork until 30 days after my NOA2, so we will have to wait a few more days.

In your case though, no harm in giving them a call. They phone queues are short and its worth a try to ask them I think.
