Though we started out long-distance, we actually lived together for about 12-13 years. Unfortunately, she had to return once the visa expired a few years ago, as she wasn't able to find work after obtaining her degrees. It's been about 5 years, now. We do have regular trips back and forth and skyping is a near daily activity - so that helps a bit. I don't know if we would have lasted so long, had we not been able to live together for a period.

That's still awesome! :)

Ah of course! How many days in advance do you have to have the medical done prior to the Interview? I have to do my medical at least 11 days prior so I'm thinking about scheduling the medical first

I'm not certain on how many days prior yet, not heard any specific days from Aussies on the forums.

I was just browsing the Anzac Square Medical Centre, Brisbane, website and they say I need an authorisation number, which I am guessing has yet to be sent from Sydney Consulate... So looks like still playing the waiting game... I do expect that, now I have completed the DS-160 and paid the scheduling fee, I will get an email next week with the date and authorisation (please.. please... please...) Each small step... gets me that little bit closer to being there....

Just want to get this done so I can get myself to be with my lady love <3
