can i be insurance beneficiary before get visa ?

Hi.. everybody !

My husband who is US citizen, we are in CR visa process now, he is going to buy life insurance, but we don't know if i can be the beneficiary before i get spouse visa ?

Anybody can be a beneficiary whom ever the insured person assign his beneficiary.

Yes u can be the beneficiary, and its also a prove that your marriage is real

I can take out an insurance policy and make you the beneficiary. Does that make us a couple? No, that shows that we may have a business relationship.

Comingling of finances is one demonstration of a bona fide marital relationship. Among many things, having a spouse as a beneficiary adds to the other evidence provided.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Yes. Since he's shopping around for quotes, be certain to mention this to each agent that's prepping each quote.

i heard different answer, to be insurance beneficiary, should have America identity and SSN

if this was heard as output from an insurance agent, well, you've got the wrong insurance agent.

Shop around !

Is this for all insurance? Or just life insurance? The fact that you can add a spouse who is not located in the U.S. yet and is without a Social Security Number.

Just to point out something:

I have filled out life insurance forms.

Many do ask for a social security number.

Just because it is on the form does not mean it is strictly required.
