Fiance Has Another Fiancee and Another Visa

Please excuse my poor writing; I’m not thinking all that clearly right now.

My Fiance was due to arrive in the U.S. tomorrow. Today when I tried to call him his phone went straight to VM all day. I contacted his sister and she informed me that he had left the country yesterday and was in Switzerland.

Apparently he has been involved with another woman for most of our relationship. He was having both of us file visa paperwork for him concurrently. He called me this evening and sent photos of the two of them, her engagement ring, his Swiss visa, etc. Based on what he told me he became involved with her approx two weeks after we were engaged. That means he was with her even before I filed our I-129f.

I also found out she was in JA visiting him two weeks after I was there to see him. He swears she knows all about me and is completely OK with everything. That she knows I was there visiting right before she arrived and that I had also petitioned for him.

I’m reeling and trying to shift gears from thinking he would be here in fewer than 24 hours. I know this is not a unique story but it’s not making any of this hurt less. My heart is broken and I’m at a complete loss.

I guess I’ve become just another Jamaican statistic.

What?! So basically he was involved with two people just seeing which visa arrived fastest?! I'm so, so sorry for you and all the heartache you must be feeling. Sounds like you had a lucky escape overall - although I know that will be of little comfort right now!

What does he mean 'she's ok about you'? Like you're supposed to be fine with being used???

Yes, "she is the better woman" because she is OK with every little thing. Apparently she doesn't mind that he was with me at the same time, doesn't question his lies, sent him money on demand, etc.

You have definitely had a lucky escape here. And believe me, she is not 'the better woman', she's a pushover at best. He might decide he doesn't like the weather in Switzerland and try to take up with a Spanish or Italian woman (heck, why not both?!) and do the same to her in a little while.

DEFINITELY inform DoS and the Jamaican embassy of the situation though.

He is already in Switzerland.

Sorry for your loss, I say that because hopefully now your fiance is dead to you. I'd contact USCIS and let them know, I wouldn't do anything else because the quicker you can move on the better. Contacting the Swiss sounds like a waste of time to me. There's a ton of fish in the sea, much better you found out now rather than later. He's a jerk you shouldn't feel bad, sending photos of them makes no sense. He must cheat due to low self esteem, you can do better. Best thing you can do is take a vacation! I always feel better after a break up if I go to another country and party like a rock star.
