Just called 65 times and I got in! :-) Apparently they just received our case today but our number is not yet in the system so I'm definitely calling back tomorrow. :-)

For the beneficiaries (I am one ;-)): you can call as well! :-) Just get the Google Hangouts app and you can call the NVC for free wherever you are as long as you have Wifi! :-)

Don't be surprised if for the next day or two they say they don't have it. I'm not sure why, but something about how they process it seems to drop it from their system like that. It happened to me and quite a few other people I've talked to on here. It was we recieved it today...give us a week to assign a number the next two days it was we haven't received it yet, and the next it was ah yes we assigned the case number today it's....

Like I said the same has happened to a few other people I've talked to, maybe it's being swapped from receiving to processing sections, IDK.

I have gotten through to them 2 times, and both times, I was treated very well.

Got the information I needed both times.

I just spent about 1 hour, hitting "redial" as fast as I could cycle what I was doing. It took a little over an hour. But, I just used patience, and kept trying.

I also, called late one night, about 9:30, and got through pretty quick, but at 10:30, the call was dropped, so I would suggest against that.

Just a lot of patience, and be ready, when it does ring, and someone answers.

Thx for sharing! :-) Let's find out tonight if they still received it or 'suddenly' no longer. ;-) It's okay though: after being stuck for 8 months at TSC, NVC is a great place to be! ;-)

Hey, both times I have tried right at 6:59am US EST and both times waited 20 minutes.
They received mine on June 9, and told me to call back in 4 weeks. I'll be calling back in 1. haha

Try right at the start of the morning when they open and you shouldn't have to wait too long :)

hi guys

I have a Skype subscription and use 'Skype to go' to call, it's about 8USD a month for unlimited calls and only uses 'minutes' not internet bandwidth. I already had it in place to call family and friends in the US while I'm living overseas and it's not dependent on having access to internet/wi-fi. I can also use a landline if I want with it.

Apps would be great but we don't have wi-fi at home and I only just got a phone that has internet (I only get 1gb a month so would rather not use it on phone calls).
