hmmmmm..... wondering if I can try and email them, ask for an earlier date....

I know this is odd..... but I was so really hoping for something the first two weeks of July.... we have family coming in from the west coast the last 10 days of July, then our annual 'vacation' is booked for 7/31 to 8/09......

May as well try, worst they can do is say no :P

Sure once your petitions reach the embassy you can email them and request an earlier date and hope for the best. I would get medicals done and out the way you tell them you have your medicals done that might help influence them.

I finally made it to the US! What a long and stressful process. Thank you everybody for your support and help.

But now that I'm in the US... now what? Do you just wait until you get a SSN and green card mailed?

No way of knowing your chances. You have to wait until your petition gets to the embassy than you can email them and ask.

I don;t have you on the spreadsheet and you don;t have a timeline what is your case complete dare please so I can add you. Congratulations.

If you have paid your $165 ELIS fee, then yes, you just wait for your green card. Should come in about 6-8 weeks if you are lucky.

Wait no more than two weeks for your SSN to arrive in the mail. If it does not come in two weeks, then go to your local Social Security Office and apply for one in person (bring your passport with your Visa and stamp from POE in it). Do not try to call them. You must show up in person.

Best of luck, and "welcome home"!!!

that's what I'm thinking too.... I'll call all three Toronto doc's first thing in the morning and see who I can get to first......

The NVC to Embassy trek the paperwork is about to take.... if they just gave us the verbal confirmation today, what kind of time frame before they send them out? I've been watching the DHL shipping and there is a package going to MTL daily! LOL :) Is this where we start checking CEAC for "in transit".....

Thanks!!

Dear Dwheels76, dear all HELP

your joy of finally getting the interview dates was so contagious that I called the NVC too. My CC was on 13th of May. I got it confirmed twice by phone and by e-mail too. Today I was expecting the great news about my interview date, but instead I got the answer my case is "under administrative processing". No explanation, nothing. The rep Rusty said he can not give any of the information. What is going on? What does it mean? Our case is pure clean, I have overstay 14 years ago, but I was able to visit the USA twice during the last two years on the VWP.

Am I in trouble? Does it happen at the NVC? HELP, please!
