HI there, i'm so sad and disappointed now. Since i have just started finding out about what a K1 visa is, i have been reading around in different sites and just now i asked about it in a forum and this is the reply i got: "Stay in your own god damned country. We have enough foreign illiterates here already". So, imagine how i feel now, that response made me cry because if my fiance and i r requesting for this visa it's cuz we love each other and unfortunately some ppl see it as taking advantage, or like using ppl as bridge to cross to the States but that just not true. It's really sad getting a response like that, anyway.... i'm just mad and sad now... Thanks for reading

Unfortunately, those types of people are out there......my fiancee even has to take ####### in her own country because she is coming her. Some people try to alienate her and make her feel like she is no longer Peruvian. I had a couple people make remarks to me too........don't sweat it. The fact that you are happy is the biggest slap in their face the way I see it.

People say stuff like that to elicit a response. Sometimes I just simply say "ok" after they are done and that seems to upset them even more because they didn't get to you.

Also it was an odd thing for them to say in the first place as it pre-supposes that no native born American is illiterate.. obviously the person that responded to you was uneducated, narrow minded and probably has a sad personal life and can't find anyone to love them so resents others finding love anywhere. That person has to be them 24/7, which sounds like retribution enough.

Your relationship is stronger than annonymous spite so just ignore it and be happy that neither of you are like that sad loser who spat such vitriol
