Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 7, 2006
Embassy Review : Arrived there at 7:30 am. doors had just opened. grumpy lady in security was there, but all was good. went up at about 8 am. said to wait until 8:30 for window 14 to open, however it was opened at 8:10. got my number. waited for about a half hour until my number was called (I was the 5th person in line for a family related visa). I had lost my passport pictures and was in a panic but the nice lady told me not to worry that she would fix me up. Told me to go see Tony on Rue Ste. Catherine. It was a 5 minute walk from the consulate. I got there and Tony took my pics and I got back a half hour later and gave it back to the lady. 10 minutes later I was called for the interview. The nice man behind the glass asked me how we met. That is it!!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
