i was going to respond to you last night, but when i read that you didn't know any of the facts surrounding the case i figured it's a waste of time to try and discuss something with someone who's formed an opinion of a dead guy without knowing anything about how he died. but yeah, i'd really like for you to tell me what role you believe law enforcement should have in carrying out justice on behalf of the citizens they're to protect..it's kinda rogue to be of the thinking that cops should be tasked with picking people off the street, without cause or warrant, and taking them into the station. should that be a skill hr looks for in new recruits..ESP? what's going on in baltimore is a bit different than the cases before, when you posted last night about a cop fearing for his life and mentioned freddie's record, i figured you hadn't read much about it. no cops were in fear of losing their lives in this case.

I read that but it now appears it was black police officers that were in charge when he died. Yet they still blame racism

The African American cop has the highest charge of 2nd degree malice of heart murder. He is the driver. Though I would argue still the original arresting white officers had clearly started some sort of injury process on Gray. I would of tried to add additional charges onto those two, but it may of been too inconclusive to make it stick.

Agreed. It's not really entirely about racism as some in the media would like to push. You'd have to understand Baltimore to view it correctly. I think people assume it's just like other places when it's really not. It's about a lot more..

yet there are news stories about some black owned businesses being guarded by people who told the rioters which businesses were not black owned....

of course there are, but the riots and the protests didn't occur because people are crying racism was involved in the murder, as nb stated.

dunno. but since this is bigger than the rioting that occurred, interview the people protesting.

Just to get this straight. The cause of the rioting is not because of racism. The victim and the police were all Black (excluding of course the three White officers involved in the original arrest.)

To be clear some rioters and troublemakers were also white. Of course, media will not show that too much. Local media has done a pretty good job being fair, and interviewing residents and some protestors who do not feel it is entirely about race. For most of the week black men of the city have stood forming a wall in front of the officers, so that no one could hurt them anymore.

Those persons who stood out front of black owned businesses and directed rioters to attack immigrant businesses were gang members. I think it's very safe to say they have their own kind of racism, but an overall lack of respect for human life in general. You aren't going to look to a gang to find model behaviour. Which is why since Tuesday, despite the guard being there,12 people have been shot.

White protestors stood outside in solidarity, breaking curfew, last night. Everyone feels the curfew is unfair.
