It would be too much of a shock if those folks looting had jobs. These type of comments degenerate the looters into lazy bums who aren't worth any empathy.

Because people like to focus on the insignificant matters to downplay the real affair at hand. By focusing on the irrelevant, annoying matters they can find justification for their hatred and biased views.
