Hey all,

So, my interview was on Feb 20th in Montreal; visa was approved! Thank God! Picked up my visa packet and passport a week later from Loomis. POE was March 2nd. All went well thank God! I got my green card in the mail in April :content:

Okay so I am back here because my friend needs help. Her interview was on March 20th at Montreal. She was approved. She got the welcome letter and everything. She flew back to Vancouver and since has been waiting for her visa packet and passport. Its been almost 2 months. She has called NVC numerous times and she has been told her visa has not been approved and her case is at 'administrative processing'. Has anyone ever heard of such case where visa is approved at interview, however case is at administrative processing?

Poor girl is stressed and worried. She cant even travel anywhere because she doesn't have her passport  please please reply your thoughts or refer me to another thread where I may be able to get answers. Thanks in advance and good luck to you all! The end is near just hang in there! you are all in my prayers, God bless (L)

Husband had his interview today at the Johannesburg, South Africa consulate today and was approved! I am so relieved and excited, can't even describe the weight you feel lifted!!!

He said they asked several easy questions

1. Where did you two meet?

2. What does he do for work in South Africa?

3. What are our plans in the states- where are we living? What will he do for work?

That's all I got from him so far. He said he felt so confident having all of our documents organized as he saw lots of others that had forgotten originals, or were being turned away because they didn't have required documentation. BE PREPARED!!! Good luck to all!

Congrats!!! Kels2487..

Congrats!!! Kels2487..

:jest::jest::jest::jest:

Thank you and all the best for your interview.

My interview was easy. The IO asked only three questions

How I met my husband?

When did we get married?

Who came to our marriage ceremony?

But I was surprised when the IO told me that they need another joint sponsor as my joint sponsor doesn't earn enough to support me. Whereas he earns way above poverty line. He files jointly with his wife and I provided all the required forms i864 and i864a with the tax transcripts.

So I explained him that my joint sponsor files jointly with his wife and also provided the employment letter though he did not ask for it. They actually counted the separated income of my joint sponsor from the 2014 tax transcript I gave to an Indian officer before my interview.

After I explained the IO realized the mistake on their part and thanked me to provide the employment letters. (though I already sent the letters to NVC also). Anyways finally he said congratulations your visa is approved.

So from sorry unfortunately we can't issue your visa right now to congratulations your visa is approved, this sums up my interview experience.

So the summary is, they do make mistakes and if properly explained they understand that. I suggest you to go for interview in English. The American officer was very friendly and understanding.

Hey there all,

Most likely means nothing but just wanted to check.

I have my interview on June 30th yet recently on the ceac website my affidavit of support fee changed and now says PAID and not N\A and I know I had 3 N\A's a few weeks back as was extremely excited when they appeared!

Does this mean anything?
