I know, I am not. I know he was nervous about the "Have you traveled anywhere else?" question because he has been to Iran for a pilgrimage and he was told that would be an issue with any CO more than likely and the question about "Did your wife apply for a fiance visa?" came right after that and he was completely nervous at the time and replied "I think so". The issue is tht if they doubted a bonafide marriage than they would ask for evidence or documents which he had plenty plenty of but they did not ask for anything at all. He gave in the marriage certificate only and to the guy at the counter before the interviewer. I hope it is a short AP, I would think if they doubted that they would ask for additional stuff. My hubby said he is not sure because he was so nervous and lost after the travel question but he thinks the counseler used the word "approve", and the counseler says ur case looks good.

The AP process is very random and unpredictable. There is no rhyme or reason why one person will get it and another will not. Or why one person's is so short and another's is so long. I have seen APs as short as a few days to a few months, to years. My husband I were married in 2011, he did not get his visa until 2014.

The waiting is horrible and it is a true test of patience on both your parts. Just remember, you are married and are meant to be together. While we do not understand why Allah tests us like this, just know that it is a test and there is a lesson to be learned. Even though I still do not understand why my husband and I were kept apart for so long, there is a reason. Nothing happens by chance.

Pray for easier times to come and hold on to your love tightly.

The fact they took his PP after such a blunder don't seem doomed

they know he may be nervous if he had referred to you as wife during

the interview, not knowing the terminology for visa does not disqualify

a person ..I think he'll be in AP until his pilgrimage to Iran is checked

out to see if & what event he was there for, once cleared & all is well

he will slide out of AP like everyone else...All you can do is wait

My hubby is a gigantic .... I don't know what to call him. The CO asked him if this was a fiance visa and he said "I think so", our visa is IR1 which would be a CR1 by now. I don't know what to do now, the CO may be thinking against our relationship.

what do you mean was ir1 but is cr1 by now? After 2 years of marriage cr1 changes to ir1...you have it backwards

I realized that after I typed in but there was no way to edit. I know that conditional residence visa changes after 2 years. So ours was an CR1 which would be IR1 now.

@amkhan

Not at all. I would like to know at least what caused this or what is going on but nothing. I reached out to the Embassy and they just ask to wait. I miss him :(
