what to prepare myself for, how many months for the approval, or do i have a chance for transfer to CSC

Currently at TSC you can expect a 7+ month wait. No one knows for sure if this will increase or decrease. No one can also say if you will be transferred, so far there have not been any transfers, only a few direct routings. So do you have a chance? Possible.. but unlikely. In fact, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Prepare for the long wait, and if it comes sooner you'll be happy.

IMHO if they are actually transferring ALL incoming applications from TSC to CSC that would improve the processing time by 20%. Why? Because all the Philippine applications went to the front of the line and they are about 20% of the applications for I-129F's (my extimate). If these "line cutters" are removed, then TSC will face no PI applications for a while thereby increasing their effort on sitting applications.

That is my guess along with my calculations that applications for Oct-Mar are lower than the 6 months before.

Both of those give me a time I think that will be closer to 5 months

Tabeak: Yes that is correct. However I am seeing some data that is indicating this:

1) There are essentially no new applications coming into TSC. I am calling this diverting applications to CSC

2) I am crunching the data from last year, but I have a strong belief that they both transferred AND diverted in April and May last year

3) The combination of these last two steps made a difference in the processing times for those stuck in line (about 30-60 days faster)

4) I am seeing an unusual amount of VJ NOA2 processed for November NOA1's the last 10 days. I don't know what it means but its unusual since their processing usually falls into two bell curves. One is the PI applications and then one is for the big pile. The data is showing me that November processings are happening before October and that is very unusual.

5) You are correct that my data shows a slowing but not sure if that is a trend yet

We had already filed at the time they did the August transfers last year and were paying close attention to what was happening. We were not aware of any new petitions being re-routed to CSC which would otherwise have gone to TSC. That's not to say it didn't happen, but it didn't seem to make any headlines on Visa Journey.

If your point (1) stands true, CSC may become the new TSC within the next six months. That creates the same monster in a different location.

Yeah, it seems beyond them to streamline the process in a way that such a thing doesn't happen...

Anyway, maybe in a month I will be convinced whatever crazy stunt they are pulling actually has an impact on processing times. So far, I am still assuming a miserable 220-260d total for my petition.

The next processing time update will be interesting,

But yeah, I acknowledge, that at least Filipino filers not constantly jumping in front of the rest of us should help a little with processing.

Still wondering about the phone guy who told KristinD she got transferred though...and the second one that said no such thing happened. Maybe just the ususal incompetence.

It was probably the same guy who told William in January that our I-129F was being processed in Nebraska! And he was so sure of himself he repeated it a few times.

Interestingly, on that same call, I was there at the time. William made no mention of the fact that I was in the country and the first thing the agent asked was whether we had got married, because I was there. I am not convinced that they know as little as they claim to know.

Yes. I called 3 times and after that they all said TSC. Nothing transfered. Even spoke to Tier 2 who apologzed for the misunderstanding. I touched base with Stef's contact yesterday because his USCIS liason was out till wed. So hoping he can get us official answers by Friday. (Super nice, helpful guy. He feels bad for us.) It's like in high school math. There's some answers in the back of the book, but the ones that you need are never there.

5 months? Well I guess you could try, but I wouldn't expect much. My local rep suggested that I wait until the "normal processing times" window had passed me by. Just offering that as a suggestion.

They play (ahem ... screw!) around with that date so much that it's difficult to tell where it's gonna land until they actually publish it. Currently it's August 2, 2014. We'll see what the "update" does; should happen in a few days. They seem to be delaying publishing it this month, so I suspect that we won't see anything until next week. But ya never know, we could be surprised and see something tomorrow....
