April: Thanks for the link. Confirms what I suspected what the cure was at TSC. Good news then if they are sending ALL to CSC. That means Philippines applications for April, May.... will get moved and that will speed things up at TSC by 20% as long as they keep it up.

It will be interesting to see the CSC impact. If their days from NOA1 to NOA2 stays close to the same in 60 days it will make the TSC processors look real bad.

K-1 Journey

2/27/2015: Sent I-129F to Black Hole in Texas:

10/22/2015 K1 Visa in hand. Son's K2 visa only valid for 6 months (W-T-F-?) Thought good for 1 year. Inquire at consulate and told visa good only as long as the medical which is 6 months K2 VISAS NOT GOOD FOR 1 YEAR AS ADVERTISED ON DOS WEBSITE!
10/29/2015 POE Chicago; Easiest pass through for Linh in her 4 previous entries.
11/2/2015: Not tuned in enough to Social Security not to pick "the first day of the month" to try to get signed up. Read VJ advice, it's spot on, we had a processor who knew K1. We were in the SAVE database in 3 days so it was easy after a 2 hour wait.

7/19/2016 The USCIS.GOV is now working for our AOS application. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? Seems others have access to USCIS.GOV Check Case now. Glitch fixed?

8/15/2016 I-485 Approved. Status now Card/Document Production

Hi Kristin,

This is what I got from DHS leg affairs:

" Good Afternoon Nick,

It is my understanding that the workload shift regarding the I-129F; I-140; I-485; and Forms I-821D/I-765 forms which were mentioned in the GovDelivery bulletin relate to newly filed applications, petitions or requests for consideration and not to already pending applications, petitions or requests for consideration. I hope that this helps."

Sorry it isn't better news...

-Nick

That EFFing sucks :(

I applied in February and am now officially at the end of the TSC line. FML.

At this rate, all new K1 applicants (although maybe slightly slower than the current speed at CSC) will be processed before me despite filing after me :(

Woe is me.

Rant complete :D

Nope, you are very wrong, I'm a mid-March filer (like 1 week before the routings to CSC began) that meaning you are not at the very end. (to make you feel better)

Me and some other mid-March filers are the true last ones on the TSC line!!!!

Ok, you definitely have a right to rant harder than I do lol :D

This whole process is like a cruel cosmic joke. Really sucks that you missed it by a matter of days and not weeks. I'm so sorry!!!

I'm right there with you (literally. filed 5 days after you did). Basically all TSC filers who filed up up until March 26 will be leapfrogged by all new filers until things even out....which will probably take at least 3 or 4 months, if it ever happens.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!

!

I think I'll try to focus my efforts here over the next 6 months on improving user data. Any recommendations on who I can talk to to drive into it?

It just bothers me that I am still seeing 129F NOA2 estimates for VSC! It bothers me even more than CSC filers put down TSC and throw off the data even more.

Is there a way we can structurally change the timeline process so people are not inadvertently filling out incorrect or impossible info?

One person is another thread** made a great suggestion of changing the "Service Center" drop down to a "Receipt Number Prefix" dropdown. IE: Instead of selecting CSC or TSC, one would select "WAC" or "SRC."

This would take the logical fallacy of state-of-residence determining the service center designation.

What do you guys think? It's a fairly simple text-based change to the values of the dropdown, nothing in terms of coding/programming.

**I don't remember who, though much credit is due!

I reckon it's probably a good idea as all it does its cause more confusion and speculation. People are sitting on the edge of their seats already- without addedly being mislead into thinking they will be transferred.

Exactly :P

I lold at that! Thank you! Does it bother you? hahaha

NOA1: November 18, 2014 @ TSC

NOA2: June 24, 2015 218 days

Sent to NVC: July 1, 2015

Embassy Case Number Received: July 10, 2015

Sent to embassy: July 16, 2015

Embassy Received: July 20, 2015

Packet 3 Received/DS 160/Readiness Completed: July 22, 2015

Medical: July 24, 2015

Packet 4 Received: August 11, 2015

Interview: September 4, 2015 Approved

Issued: September 8, 2015

Visa in hand:

POE: September 18, 2015

-----------------------

When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

I like it. I'm taking a graduate research methods course, so I'm all about improving the data right now. Haha. I think there's a forum for comments about the website where you could propose some things.

This all makes me want to cancel my current k1 petition (NOA1 is Feb. 27) and just re-file and pray they take my new petition straight to Cali! Hahaha I would never actually do this nor do I know if it's possible, but it would probably get me my fiancé here 5 months quicker!

Seriously though, it's encouraging to know we are all in this together. We're all unhappy and upset now because of the crazy unfairness with the difference in processing times, BUT how beautiful is it that by Fall of THIS YEAR most of us will finally be with the loves of our lives! The majority of us are getting married in 2015! Woo-hoo!!! No more long distance. No more long months apart. No more expensive plane tickets or taking weeks off of work. No more frustration with failed Skype calls and broken connections. We will all reach the day this year where we will wake up every day next to our wonderful spouse! So excited!! Praying the time goes by fast for us all!!!!!
