Anyone dealing with this? Finding the wait to be driving me insane. I wish I could just sleep for a month. I don't know what I will do if something doesn't work out.

1- The overwhelming majority of applicants are approved.

2- Even if something does go wrong, you'll have a green card that allows you to live here permanently, and Canadian passport that lets you visit most of the world. That's a lot better than most people in the world!

So don't stress about this too much.

Well my hubby and kids are Americans. I just feel discouraged. Living here 15 years and not much to show for it as far as rights go. I hate it.

From your details on the May Filers thread, you should have had your interview yesterday. How did it go? You are almost done, hang in there!

But what you're talking about is a typical "first world problem". You currently have a citizenship of Canada! You make it sound like you're a citizen of Qatar, Nepal, Nigeria or Guatemala!

Since you've already had your interview, you should receive your Oath ceremony any day!

Well, if I were to go back to Canada it would be like starting over from scratch. I haven't lived there since I was 10.

And I passed everything, but I was only recommended for approval. There are no guarantees. I'm utterly stressed out.

"Recommended for approval" means that the boss has to rubber-stamp the interviewer's decision.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

You don't know. You just don't freakin' know how bad it can be in someone else's head.

If you can't handle empathy, at least try sympathy.

And for real, the timeline. It doesn't help anyone worth a damn.

Well, take it day by day. Im depressed. I been married for a year and were Guatemalan. I understand. Things are hard. Being away aint easy. Hopefully things will get better. I told my husband "If we get denied I am moving to guatemala in a flash and sell tacos on the street for life, just to be with you". And thats life. I am thankful to have someone waiting with me. I love that man.
