Are you 100% sure?? My husband called and talked to a manager and he said to call back in two weeks. But I guess he just knocked it out huh?

What do you mean? Your husband called and they didn't give him CC? If so call again I think they have a bunch of idiots there that just have no clue. If it changed from Paid to N/A you have your CC so he needs to call again and speak to another person right away. :)t5063.gif

Thank you, Soloenta, for creating a forum where we are free to be ourselves and not be bullied by certain Pharaoh "moderators" and their groupies!

Your very welcome but I have seen them come in here but don't understand why we are adults and are doing nothing wrong. But thank you very much, it has been my pleasure. :Dt5063.gif

just called and confirmed the interview date Jan 9th.

I wish all of you CC soon.

Woooooooo Hooooooooo congratulations one less thing to worry about :D127fs2361263.gif

Hi all

What a week. One days notice for interview and then two days later Visa is in my hand. It is over. Thank you Sydney.

Words cannot express my thanks to all my Visa Journey friends. You have all been amazing. Whilst I may be finished with it all my thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you. Let's not get complacent just because I am done. A few weeks ago I was in your position.

Thank you Saylin for your constant support and advice and for donating so much of your time.

I will check back here to see how you are all going but for the next few days I need to concentrate on the million and one things I need to do to get myself, two children and two dogs ready to leave Australia in 13 days. Couldn't risk anything happening to the boys, Elvis and Casper so we are using a professional animal transportation firm. The kids and I - well we can just rough it!!

Love to you all.

Debra xxx

So you're continuing the mad dash, I see. Those two weeks will be physically daunting, so please delegate most of the heavy lifting to that strapping boy of yours, or better yet, hired labour. Take care and pace yourselves.

The other part is a tiny tine error on the I864 form and for missing current pay stubs or proof of current employment.

I just had to make my way over to the rant thread. I just don't understand. How do they complete half of the second week of Oct and skip the rest? I am beyond frustrated. Everytime they complete a case with a date next to one of my scan dates they skip mine and jump to something else. I'm so pissed and broken.

Do you remember her name? I have yet to speak with any polite women at NVC. I always get one with an attitude problem. I think her name starts with an A or something. I always get the same script saying it can take up to 42 days, however, the senators office was told 30 days when they sent an expedite request for me. I think we are at day 23 now.

I'm sorry I didn't get the name. She was quite polite I thought but its only my first time calling so I don't have much experience with the reps.

I am so sorry that you are going through this while waiting for your valid expedite request. Hang in there!! Must be right around the corner!!!

Congratulations...you have accomplish what we all dream of. ???

So happy you have your loved one in USA. I have a question regarding your expedite. You were able to expedite at NVC stage and how did u submit? I thought it could not be done when file was nvc. ????

Yes I was able to expedite it at NVC stage. I just sent an email requesting for the expeditious processing. i attached all the supporting documents that sustained my request. The embassy always has the last word on expedites.

Hi all! Meant to write sooner but this is the first I could get on. Woke up Monday morning to an email from NVC saying that they had received all documents necessary for processing DH's visa and to wait for further information about embassy. Quickly checked CEAC to see if changed to N/A but it hadn't, still said "paid". So then I called and after 20 attempts to get through then 30 minutes on hold, NVC confirmed case complete on 11/21! It took them a week and a half to inform me.

Then woke up today to a checklist. Oh my goodness my heart dropped and I started freaking out. THANK GOD in the checklist it repeated multiple times we dont have to send anything to NVC but dh will have to bring the checklist to the interview. It has to do with something stupid on the I864a.

Anyways, good news! We have a CC!!!

Last scan date (on aos checklist) 10/10

Much luck and hope to all of you! God bless your journey and make it quick!

Did you see a status update online on the USCIS site or did you just wait for the welcome letter from the NVC? It would be nice if I don't really have to wait for that long but at the same time relived as the AOS paperwork is scaring the bajeezus out of me! haha. :D So I have more time to mentally prepare I guess. I'll see this as a blessing in disguise then!

October 26 or 27 our case at USCIS updated online saying 'hey, you're approved.

October 31st it updated at USCIS saying 'hey, we shipped your case out today.'

I called NVC starting at the seven day mark and began calling every two days.

On November 18th, I think it was, an NVC rep told me that our case had arrived at NVC.

We still have no case number and no Welcome letter. I call twice a week now and every single rep says 42 days until we get a case number.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.
