there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to "register" a marriage in the US. Your marriage certificate is all the proof you need

you did the right thing go to the county court house with your marriage certificate get it registered attach that to your marriage certificate for keeps you pay a fee for that,

Wrong, there is no reason to "register" or pay a fee in the US for a marriage that took place in another country, married is married. Period. End of story.

You are going through the immigration process. Your marriage is recognized by the USCIS. I asked my county court house if I need to register my marriage and they said they don't do that. Its not required. Married is Married. You have the marriage certificate. It doesn't matter who issued it.

My Marriage Certificate was issued by Boulder County. Sounds like you 'registered' a document with the County Clerk which says nothing to its authenticity or validity.

Hi guys

this might be out of cr1 visa process but is related somehow.

We got married in nepal (my nation). And while filing I-139 we got out marriage being acknowledge in boulder county (that is where my usc wife lives)

thing is she went to city hall and got it listed on public record.

We are wondering, what should we do to make sure that our wedding is acknowledged in US??

Just taking an extra step to show our relation being true

any idea guys

You do not need to "acknowledge" your marriage in the USA.

Thanks guys for all info and thoughts.

Well we got it listed in public record and have seal stamp from county clerk.

We were just trying to do everything in best way to avoid any delays in processing.

Didnt hurt to pay extra dollar to get it listed in public record and get stamp from county clerk

thanks once again for everything guys.

Cheers
