I was told by 3 different NVC reps that it is acceptable to send the documents without the IV barcode. They told me as soon as the AOS fee showed paid, I could send both the AOS and IV packets using just the AOS barcode and the document coversheet that came in my welcome email. That is what I did. My documents were received 12/17, and got my confirmation email on 12/19.

The way they explained it to me is that they use to request the AOS and IV packages be sent separately. That is why they had the two separate barcodes. They have since transitioned to both being sent together, which is why the IV barcode is no longer required and why you get the document coversheet that includes both the AOS and IV documents in your welcome email.

You think it's ok if you didn't put the IV barcode? I didn't read anything about that... in the wiki they says to send them together.

It is up to you. I know that is not how it states on NVC website or wiki but many others on this forum have done this and NVC reps have said that is fine.

Don't take my word for it though if you want to give NVC a call they can let you know what they prefer. I am just eager to get my 60 days clock going, away from my husband, and willing to take the "risk" to shave off a week or so.

Try heading over to the NVC filer thread so you can get more info.

Dear friends,

Can you please tell me what income numbers you used in your AOS: Part 6, 6c & 10 (page 5) & Part 6, 13a1, 13b1, 13c1 (page 6).

Do you use the numbers from you Tax Returns (as adjusted gross income) or from your W2 - wages, salaries, etc?

Kels2487, it seems like you just sent your documents to NVC, can you please tell what numbers you have used?

Hey Kels2487!

What AOS supporting documents did you submit with the I-864EZ form? I'm finding the NVC site to be a little different from the Instructions for the form on the USCIS website so I'm confused on what to include. Thanks!

Was that when your case was approved or when NVC received it? I got my NOA2 December 8 and the NVC received my case on December 23. I just got off the phone with them and I don't have a case number yet. If your case was received by NVC on Dec. 23 then we should both get our numbers on Monday...hopefully!!!

Me too.

Sent both packages with AOS cover sheet as it's taking forever to get my IV invoice.

Terrified I've missed or not properly done something but we shall see....

We have pretty much the same timeline and I haven't received my IV invoice either. Some people have had luck calling the NVC reps and they will review your DS-261 choice of agent. I tried and they said I just need to wait. 30 days should be mid Feb so we can start panicking if it hasn't been released by then.

Good luck.
