It rings about 3 or 4 times then disconnects. When I check the call log it says "call failed " I have used Skype to call the Nvc for the last month.

In my past experience when you are getting a "call failed" message on Skpye that means the NVC lines are busy. When that happens I just sit there and redial as many times as it takes back to back to get through. Eventually, every time I tried I got through. As of last night I am now getting an "invalid phone #" message. When I delete and re-enter the contact ....same thing. I waited overnight , tried it again... same thing. Is anyone else calling NVC from outside of the U.S getting an "invalid phone number" error message or actually able to get through to the NVC from another coutry?. It seems as though this system is no longer working and something has changed. At least from Thailand. :.(

We recently got some great news: that my husband has been successful in a job application for a government job that starts next September in Vermont. We haven't got this in writing yet (no contract no paperwork) but when we do, should I notify NVC or take the contract with me to my interview, or nothing?

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.

Engaged on Guam - 31 December 2013

I was getting the same thing yesterday from Ireland. I dialled over 100 times, and out of those tries, three times the call started to ring, but skype cut it off very quickly saying it hadn't been answered. (The message was "Call, no answer".) All the other times I received the "Call, failed" message. I think that's what skype says now when the line is busy.

I switched to Google Hangout, and got through on the 13th try. (I was then in the NVC call queue for 14 minutes until the call was answered.)

Hi all,

Recently we got our approval from USCIS I-130, my wife is the petitioner (US citizen).

I am working in Saudi Arabia and my lovely wife lives with me, but she doesn't work or ever been in united state, we planning to have friend of us as joint sponsor.

By your opinion what document we should prepare before sending AOS package ?

do my wife need to deliver proof of domicile ? or just send the following :

1- form I-864 (joint sponsor).

2- IRS Tax Transcript.

3- Proof that (joint sponsor) are a U.S. citizen.

if you think there is missing document we should prepare please mention it for us.

thank you

Anybody on here has gotten a january interview yet? Just wondering if NVC started scheduling interviews for January yet. Im hoping to get something early in the month!

I was informed yesterday by NVC that they schedule the interviews in the last week of November and the first week of December for January interviews.

Hi everyone.

A reminder for all of you who are still waiting for a CC, I have been collecting heaps of data and using that information to mathematically predict Case Completes. The relationship between last scan-date and a CC is currently up at 84.08%.

If you would like to have a calculation done to predict your CC, please private message me your last scan date.

It has worked brilliantly for many people so far!
