NOA1 is 5 months tomorrow for me. 153 days.

Ok the skunkworks project as it were is complete. Tonight I FedExed the packet that makes the assertion that an excessive difference exists in the processing times between the CSC and TSC, supports that argument with data, requests a rebalancing of those times, offers suggestions on how that can be accomplished, refutes possible data integrity counter-arguments and ends with a call to arms for change. I finished it off with several enclosures to further illustrate and prove the problem.

So it's on its way. Who knows what will happen, but if it's given even a half-read, the evidence presented is compelling; perhaps it might even get to level 2. Who knows!

Cool project regardless and I made some good friends in April, Kristin and Stef. I thank them for their contributions. Kristin is a hell of a proofer!

Too funny Ethline. You know the link to the survey works for anyone, right. It just take you to a partially complete survey. Great Security.

Reminds me of the help desk at work. Can never solve the problem and always sends a survey after to see how they did. I am sure that the responses are never looked at. They never seem to improve.

HAHA this is funny are they serious with this. I got this email from them.

Sigh.

It would be nice if they would invest more time and funds into hiring and training more agents to deal with the present work load. An improved website is a wonderful ideat, but there is nothing to see there. Well, at least nothing of any significance to any of us. An upgraded website without any useful content is useless to us.

193 days. Nothing.

Well, today is 5 months or day 154 for me. It's funny, but there was a time when my fiancee didn't even inquire about where our petition was. I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that she has changed that MO and is asking more often now. Not sure if it's because we're down to 2 months prior to our son's birth or what exactly. I know that she feels the same way I do; neither of us want the scenario where I fly over, David is born, we do the whole CRBA thing, and then I am forced to return to TEXAS *alone*. That would really, really, really suck. And why is such a scenario a possibility? Because of the overt, unfair and ridiculous time delta between the CSC and TSC and the USCIS's failure to do anything about it!

Oh don't get me started. Sigh.

Anyway. Empathy to you wbeem, you've been waiting even longer..........

Thanks so much for doing this, av80r1 and everyone else. I hope something good comes from it!

I got a response from the caseworker in my Senator's office today that was semi encouraging. He was able to talk to a Congressional Liasion, who then looked at my case and said it's been going through security checks since January. So at least I know someone is looking at my case. Was also pleasantly surprised that USCIS gave him an answer even though I haven't reached our 5 month mark. Since I sent our I-129 in right at the end of September, I hope that means that everyone else in the thread is also going through the security check now. Until today, I was convinced our papers were sitting in a box and hadn't been touched at all. The caseworker is going to check back with USCIS at the end of the month to try and get an update for me.

Hope that helps the rest of you feel a little better. No idea when it'll be completed, but at least it's getting looked at.

Yeah, glad to do it. I totaled it up and my total time working on the skunkworks thing was more like 60 hours, but whichever. BTW, I didn't mention who I sent the petition to, mostly because I didn't want to receive any flack or hear other grumblings, as I wasn't in the mood after investing so much time, effort and energy. That said, I am simply in the type of mood at present that I just don't care if folk here wanna ####### all over it. So here it goes.

After direct appeals to the USCIS have failed, I and the other skunkworks team members realized that continuing such appeals made little sense. So we decided to go elsewhere. Kristin fired off stuff to the reporter and I wrote the previously-posted letter and supporting documentation and sent it to the White House. Yes, that's right, laugh it up, criticize it all you want, but that is what I did. I wrote to the White House. Should be there Friday. We'll see how long it lasts before it's thrown into the bin, but at least someone saw it. Kristin is going to send the letter to the Omsbudsman too, just for completion. We have other goings-on too, but I'll save those for a later post.

Anyway, the hacked-off mood is subsiding, so I'm gonna end here. Flame away!

The fact that they didn't even make it out of June despite a full month change in the effective date is what surprised me. For a little while anyway. That wore of pretty quickly however, given their general MO of continually falling behind.

I'd laugh if it wasn't so sad and if I wasn't as angry as I am over the matter. Lol
