Sorry Sandra Ours sat like that too. In fact, it's still in our USCIS account page as unassigned for processing, although we did eventually get approved.

The cr@p thing about this ridiculous, soul-crushing process is that I've realized it's just not over until you actually get there.

That's ridiculous! God, these people are absolutely clueless about what we go through. I appreciate your support, and I hope that the distance and the suffering we've done will make each and every couple stronger once we're all brought together.

How was your interview? Were the questions easy? How was the interviewer?

How do you submit a request to expedite? What kind of justification do they require? (Though it does not seem to be all that useful, evidently)

not exactly soothing to know that our inquiries haven't even been assigned to anyone after 5 weeks, and then again, after an additional week lol

My fiancé called and got a really nice tier 2 guy, and he expressed his concerns that it's ridiculous that we have filed 2 inquires without any response despite them being over their deadline twice. The guy said, and I quote, "absolutely sir. It's important for the service center to know just how bad their issue is, and petitioners like yourself calling in is an example of that, and their actions are unacceptable". It's nice to know that they are aware of how shitty TSC are haha. Anyhow, he was actually the one that suggested to put the expedite in, and according to him, it's an expedite for "response to unanswered inquires".

Now, I don't know if he was blowing smoke up our a$$ seeing as that is not in the official criteria, but even if it is denied it brings attention to our case fairly quick which is all what we want. I'd suggest giving them a call and simply asking if there is anything you can do to speed up the process, even though they give you "15 days to allow for a response", you've waited well over 8 months and it is not fair for them to take any longer and we all should make this perfectly clear as reflected in the updated processing times.

I've been visiting my fiance this week and am here until Sunday. We were hoping to have something to celebrate but it's hard to even

believe it's possible anymore - 240 days today. Oi!

I remember being anxious about approaching 200 days back in March. That concept seems like a bliss now.

Here I am, at 252 days. Don't know what the optimistic approval time would look like.

I would take an RFE, anything at this point is better than this.

Approved. I received the email at 9:06 pm edt. My NOA1 date was Sept 30th. TSC received by RFE documents on May 6th (Initial RFE notification on April 24th). NOA2 on May 20th. Oddly ... no text update.
