Have my skeptical face on, sorry. :) Elected officials have the hotline to a certain degree. Don't think lawyers do. Have you thought about making an inquiry with your representatives?

Agreed. And elected officials/their offices still get put on hold or told they will be called back. Reps will be more helpful than this lawyer- seems like she's just out for your money. You might want to consider using a different attorney if you insist on using one.

So I'm 225 days in and I'm starting to kick up a fight. Calling and what not. So I've been in contact with my lawyer, and she said she's going to file and inquiry for me. They talked to a tier one and requested talking to a tier two. She said tier two will call back tomorrow, but she said "don't worry all immigration lawyers have a direct line to TSC and I'll get them to talk this evening." Basically she keeps telling me to calm my panties and she's got it under control with her super secret lawyer short cuts and strings. Idk.. I'm kind of not believing her. Your input guys?

:( My friend is one of the top immigration lawyers in South Florida. They have no secret line. He offered to do my paperwork but said there's really no point for him to do it. He said the most he can do is next time he's at an infopass for another client is ask them about mine. That's it.

Yeah, my congressman's office said that USCIS requirement is a response within 30 days. So far, every time it's almost been 30 days per response.

Barely a help.

Call and ask for a Tier 2. They will tell you they can't inquire because you're not past processing times. Tell them you want to make a general inquiry into your file. They have 15 days to respond by mail. They will 100% tell you that this is not possible, it is.

which in the end makes no difference, so why spend the 4 hours on the phone getting the "you are within processing times" response you'd get by any other method.

Dear KristinD,

Our NOA1 dates 9.9.2014 and still nothing, so my fiance wanted to file or inquiry online "outside normal processing time" but he couldn't since TCS is still processing August 23.

We don't know what should we do now.. You seem you know whole process how should it go

What else can we do now? Talk to Tier 2? do we just call them and ask them to transfer our call to Tier2?

Thank You

Gulya,

I wish I had the answers :( That's the only thing you really can do, per the tier 2 I spoke with. He said that the processing update will be the first week of this month but I don't believe it. Yes, just ask for a tier 2. I had to fight to even inquire. But I referenced the person who told me I could at 150 days then they did it.

Do you know what I had for breakfast today today?

Am I wrong?

I have a few good guesses :)

If you did inquire like this, what happened? What did the letter say?

My congressman's office has made the same inquiries a number of times and I've posted those response here....a number of times.

Regardless, what I said wasn't wrong. If it was of any help, you'd be out of this thread with your NOA2. Congressman (or you) cannot influence the speed or outcome of this process by law...with exceptions of expedites which follow the guidelines, or you are outside of processing times (which they make sure you never will be).

Yet, we have seen it done before. Just by certain representatives and depending on how powerful they are.

Don't believe in coincidences. ;) In politics and government there especially are none.
