Hi everybody,

I have a question does any one experience a long delay with NVC. Our case been there since June 20th and still not in the system, it is way out of processing time ( 30 business day) but they haven't entered in the system. Just wonder if anybody facing the same problem. I am just frustrated I can't get clear answer from them why it is not in the system yet. ( My case is I-130). Any comment or help will be really appreciated.

So what do you mean by "not in the system"? When did USCIS send your case to NVC? Is June 20th the date that NVC received your case? Have you called to check and see if they have assigned you a case number yet? It can take quite a while sometimes to receive the email with case number and IIN, but you can find out sooner if you call.

We (married couple, I am USC) submitted the I-864 and IV application electronically on 3/29, got a checklist on 7/22 for no "N/A" in the address line, sent the correction the following day, and was informed of a 60 day delay.

Does it make sense for expedite request at this point? Seems ridiculous to make was wait so long because we didn't fill out the form they way they expected but didn't inform.

It doesn't hurt to try, although I would say there is a very slim chance that an expedite will be approved based on the fact that you've been waiting for a long time. You probably only have a couple more weeks to go. Hang in there.

Just put n/a or ''0" there. Both ways it will be fine. 1 for myself and 1 for total immigrant u sponsoring. So household will be "2"

I didn't put anything there. I am petitioning for my wife, household size of 2 as well.

I called back to back and spoke with two different supervisors. Obviously the people on the phone - the reps do not know this! I confirmed this information from two supervisors: The IV package is always reviewed with the civil documents. So, if you are waiting on your visa fee BILL, go ahead and send your package!!! This will be to your advantage!!! You don't have to wait no 60 days after your DS 260 because they are going to wait for you to ship your package after the fact! I took a 9 days head start right now as I am waiting for my IV bill which I had to call and ask them to review today! I waited 29 days.

Also, this morning, I spoke with a supervisor, I complimented her and tell her that I respected her time frame 30 business days and I would appreciate it if they can respect mine. Then I let her know that I know they are doing their best! And that tommorrow was going to make 30 business days and they had not touch it. So, my DS 261 was reviewed today and she called me at work to let me know. She called my cell but did not reach me then called me at work - which was shocking because I don't remember giving them my work number.

Thanks for commenting .. Not in the system means they haven't assign case number to it , I call them 2-3 times a week and every time they give me the same answer ( we received your case from USCIS on Jun 20th but it is not in the system yet. even it passed due ( 30 business days but still they haven't assign number to it) I don't know what to do do I contacted the congress man but his office said it will take up to a month to get respond from NV. So frustrated

To people who are worried about current annual income when the petitioner works hourly without a set salary:

If like my husband you work varying hours perhaps even with varying $/hr, what you can do is take the past six months' paystubs and average them out. You then multiply by 26 (for bi-weekly paystubs) or 12 (for monthly paystubs - don't know if that's common in America) for the final figure. If you get 3 decimal places then round it up/down to 2.

We did this and the AOS was accepted. Be sure to include the six months of paystubs and maybe even an explanation in your covering letter of how you worked out the figure.

I thought the Visa Application (DS-260) and IV invoice are made in quick succession. There is no 60 days delay between them. Did I miss something here? Or do you mean to suggest that people should send their civil documents with/without the AOS cover sheet? If true, there are risks involved as others suggested in the past.

Hi,

I just got off the phone with NVC. I was given the "its taking 60 day speech" and then I asked if it was ok to send my civil documents before I get the IV bill. She said yes and send them by e-mail. ( I am doing EP ) I asked if I needed the cover sheet and she said no because I was sending them by e-mail.

Just putting together "my" AOS package while we wait for parents-in-law to post us their stuff so we can send it back to the USA.. what a convoluted process! Anyway, just a quick question about re-establishing domicile for my husband. We have the following items for proof:

1. New Hampshire drivers licence, well and truly within date

2. Vermont Judiciary confirmation of continuing membership (Vermont Bar Membership Card) - also well within date, recently updated

3. Online statement printouts from retirement funds both based in USA

4. Copy of his Australian visa including conditions (ie it is for 12 months only)

Do you think we should get other things, such as contacting the County Clerk for voter registration proof or anything like that as well or will be we be okay with the above documents? Understand only general advice not legal advice can be given, thanks in advance

I am curious how you paid the AOS fee before your case was received at NVC?

OK... something very odd happened with me at CEAC just now. My AOS fee changed to N/A. But I had CC since July 30th (confirmed multiple times) !!!!

I am waiting for an interview date since then. Dare I think I finally got a date scheduled? Oh well... too late to call at this hour.
