We hired a lawyer and i believe its not EP. EP is electronic processing right? Yes i heard the same, but i'm getting anxious just waiting :D

Thank you! And good luck to you too. If you call the NVC you can ask them about the scan date just to know. Ahhh we're all almost at the end of the tunnel, its just the waiting that kills!

Ughhhh no IV invoice yet from submitting DS261 on June 5th..

Well, I think I can pay it soon and then send IV package+finish DS260 at least in Aug, but then need to wait for the case close for 2months. Then the interview will be 1.5-2months after..

It means my interview will be in December or January!!!

That is so stupid. I was wrong to quiet work last month.

*** My apologies for posting country-specific info on here, but Chile doesn´t have its own forum and it´s NVC-related ***

I know there are a few other Chilenos on here, so a quick heads up regarding the IV documents:

I´d heard in the past about NVC document reviewers rejecting the birth and marriage certificates from Registro Civil because they´re not super fancy, so when my husband went to get his certificates he specifically asked the RC worker if she could add an extra stamp or something to make the typical paper they give out look more official. The lady said she´d heard of problems in the past with the unofficial-looking official documents, but that they had worked everything out.

Welp, guess who just got a checklist because "the document you submitted is not an original or certified copy of an original issued by the appropriate government authority."

I sent an email to NVCinquiry copying the Santiago embassy, and will call NVC tonight and the embassy tomorrow when they open. I´ll let you know what happens, but OJO con eso. Any suggestions are welcome!

Hey Guys,

I just filled the DS-261, 1 week ago and was not aware that NVC would take so long.. So I went and brought all the police clearance which has a expiry of 6 months I suppose. How many months you guys think it take from submitting DS-261 to interview ?

Thanks

few cc this week.... i'm getting depressed! i hope june can be done asap so they can move to july...

for the 60 day email I think it's for those who just sent the doc to NVC. if you sent long time ago, it's probably under review.

cause many people who got 60 days email got CC this week, their scan date is all june 20ish... :clock::clock::clock:

My husband lived grew up in a different city in Pakistan and then moved to the one he's currently in about 6 years ago. The police certificate I submitted was only for the current residing city. Should I ask him to prepare one for the first city he used to live in?

I see that people are getting a checklist over cities or countries they lived in 10-15 years ago. I'm not sure :/
