well the thing is i just foudn this forum and i just thought id post something and people might see it and try to help me understand...

the thing ive been dating someone online and and its just this january of this year...

and since done quite an amount of research,i think getting a fiance visa would just get me denied since we havent met yet...

if theres anyone who has had the same experience and got accepted?(me and fiance only talked for 5 months now)

i do get to talk to her mom everyday and her(my fiance) too which is good..and they are in favor..

now the thing is my aunt from london is gonna help us since my fiance's family isnt rich and doesnt have that much money to help me get what i need...

and now it all comes down to which i should get which wont get denied at all..since im just asking my aunt..and if i do get denied ill be sure not to expect any help from her anymore....T____T

so my plan is this...

if i could come up of a good reason for "requirement to meet with your fiance would mean extreme hardship to you..

and im thinking that my aunt might know someone that could help us build our case as in a fiance visa lawyer of somesort(been being brought to their web sites every time i start a research so yeah...

or

get a visitor visa and get married after 60 days(got that from one of the sites i read on) so as that it wouldnt look like a "sham" (their own words) to get a green card.

and get back to my country anyways and get a fiance visa with picture and reciepts, plan ticket and all other evidences ive learned from this site..

please please please i need some help...im so confused as to what to ask from my aunt..she is fully supportive of my decision though..and im from the philippines if that helps too....

thank you so much for readin my long boring explination...

good luck to everyone as well...

You must have met in face within two years prior to filing the petition. You have no excuse for not meeting. It does not have to be in the US or in the Philippines, it can be anywhere in the world. Make sure you keep your boarding passes, take pictures, keep receipts, etc. to prove you have met.

You do realize this is an expensive process and your fiancé will have to show they can support you at more than 125% of the poverty level (about $19,500 per year for him and you or more if there are other dependents).

Your chances of getting a tourist visa are slim given you are from a high-fraud country....for exactly the reasons you give....come on a tourist visa, get married, and stay.

Your aunt can't do anything for you but help pay expenses. The US does not use a bribe system as some other countries do. Everything must be on the up and up, you can't buy your way into a visa.

You're not going to get around the meeting in person in the last two years requirement. Exceptions are extremely rare. Given only in cases of extreme illness of the USC so they cannot travel and multiple rejections of a visitor's visa of the beneficiary. Or coming from a culture that bans the couple from meeting before the wedding. You have neither of these situations.

Much of what you're saying is very confused and hard to follow. But why can't your fiance come and visit you?

Very much all of this ^^

and I would also add, 5 months of an online relationship is not a basis for a strong, lasting marriage, Why the rush? Meet in person spend TIME together, then make the decision to get married.

Forget about trying to figure a way to avoid the meeting requirement. It won't happen. To file for the petition for fiancé visa, you NEED to meet in person. There is no way around it, and not having enough money to travel is definitely not an excuse.

If you file for a tourist visa, you are applying under your own merits and no one can help you get it. You would need to prove to the consular officer that you intend to return home after your visit. If you do come to the US on a tourist visa, you can marry, but you cannot stay to adjust status. You would need to return home. Also if you do marry in the US, you would be filing for a spousal visa.

So why can't you meet in person? If you have the means to travel to the US under a tourist visa, why not help your fiancé come there to visit you?

Your aunt can loan her the money so she could visit you. :D

Anyway, if she can't afford plane tickets, how will she pay for the K1? There are more $$$ fees ahead once you enter the US, it doesn't end when you get the visa.

Perhaps your Aunt could arrange a meeting in London?

It doesn't work. My fiancé had severe vertigo and was hospitalized twice. Being in a pressurized plane would trigger it. We sent in all the records but it was denied.

We appealed, which took 5 months, but they do not rule on unprecedented cases.

We started over and got approved in 49 days.

My advice---don't waste your time.

So may I ask how will she come to US if she isn't flying. This might be why you were denied expedite because she would make it here anyway right?

Sorry...I'm new. Tried to copy and paste. Didn't work.

I think I confused everyone including myself.

She is fine. I had the problem, but I went there anyway. No problems flying, but I did get sick my last day there.

We asked for a waiver of the meet in person due to medical reasons.

Their ruling was that it was unprecedented because we filed before the meet in person.

She is just trying to get an interview appointment now.. :ranting:

LOL okay you are the petitioner. I get it. So you mean you still got approved by USCIS even though you didn't meet and now you are waiting to schedule an interview for K1? Or you mean waiting fr interview for visitor visa.

Sorry OP we have got off track with your situation.
