Oh this is kind of cool... So they just emailed you the tracking number so you could look it up?

Crazy that all those papers come from their original countries to America and back to those countries back into our hands.

There has to be a better way to this process. No wonder so many things get lost along the way.

how I can track where I can find tracking number?

Step 1

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Go to the CEAC Status Portal. Check until your Case shows "In Transit"

transit.png

Step 2

http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

Visit DHL link

Example if case was shipped on April 25,2014 then use this format for "shippers reference # " EXP 25 APR 2014A

Put in a date range that covers this and the country it is being shipped to and press "track"

Changnoi Tip : You can call NVC (30 to 40 min wait) for date shipped

or you can just plug in different dates until you get a hit

Once you get your Waybill # use it for email updates.

When you track with the Waybill # you get additional data also :)

(((((((CASE COMPLETE))))))))

Just got off phone with NVC. I almost cried when the lady said your case was completed today, just waiting for interview to be scheduled. I had to ask her to repeat those magic words. And they are still scheduling for June interviews in Montreal

Hi everyone,

I received my NOA2 on May 1st, and now I'm waiting for my case to arrive at the NVC. I called USCIS yesterday to see if my case had been sent yet, and the person I spoke to said that could take 90 days. According to the helpful guides here, that seems wrong. Will I receive a notification when it is shipped? Is tomorrow too soon to start calling the NVC?

Final question: do you think there's a chance we'll get an interview date before October 1st? It seems like 5 months is pushing it based on recent information. :(

We got approved April 14th. I later checked the website of uscis with my receipt number again and it showed that usicis has shipped the approved petition to NVC on April 18th. Which means Uscis shipped our petition 4 days after approval and nvc received it april 30th, aproximately 12days. So check uscis website with your receipt number and you will know when it was shipped to nvc. We got to know the petition arrived nvc thru a phone call, they didn't send us any mail of notice.

It will probably take about 5-7 days just for the service center to ship your case to the NVC. You should receive an email, letting you know when it was shipped. Once it is shipped to the NVC, it will probably take anywhere from 1- 3 weeks to arrive. If you look in my signature, you will see how long ours took to arrive from the date of the NOA2.

You are probably looking at a "case complete" somewhere in August, based on recent information and looking at the spreadsheet. There is probably a slim chance that you will have an interview before October 1 but it could still be possible! :)

Thanks for the help. I'm really hoping for an interview before then because that's when our French temporary residency permits expire. After that we'll have to switch consulates and that will introduce another delay into the whole procedure.
