I'm waiting to see what's going to happen to the team. Think that's going down at 1400.

They essentially handed the team to his wife. I am guessing y'all didn't know there were actually 2 owners. Sorry Magic. :star:

Looks like they need a vote of 75% of the owners in order to force him to sell. I'm guessing the vote will be 100%

Anyone who sides with him is going to get crucified.

I completely agree that the guy is a first class royal douche, but I am sure that I completely agree with the NBA on this decision. I suppose though that his comments would impede the players performances and could destroy the fan base for the team as well. I think he should be the one to apologize and bow out.

There's no way out for him on this one. It's not like a slip of the tongue with the N-word or even a misunderstanding. Given his previous history with black people and his comments, he's going to take the L.

I think so too. Left to his own devices would have been bad enough.

Once again I don't care.

NBA is just trying to save face.

Where was the outrage when he was discriminating against families when it came to housing. Like I said before real life tangible acts of institutionalized racism is what all of us (not just minority organizations) should be fighting against.

I don't follow the NBA much, I never heard about this guy. The lawsuits against him and his past ugliness was covered up. NBA is the one with mud on its face in my opinion. I read this slime bucket pos wouldn't cover the cost of cancer surgery for one of his coaches. The players ended up pitching in and covering the cost that insurance wouldn't.

Want to impress me? How about fans and players step up and speak out against the Redskins. Make them change their name. How about RG3 say he will not suit up. We have such a double standard in this country.

What's the opinion of 40 million people matter much, anyway? That's about how many people think the Redskins should change their name. It's also, coincidentally, just about the exact number of black or African-American people in America, according to the U.S. Census. Weird.

Thought this might be up your alley.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd feel better if there was a history of his racism affecting players treatment/salaries or something else. Maybe there is and I just don't know about it? I guess the NBA has the right to do whatever they want but he didn't aim it at anyone in the organization as I saw it.

I think the ban is good. It shows that the NBA won't tolerate the whims of the people who own the teams.
