Actually he is married and he seems to carry a very special gene that while he has HIV, he has no symptoms and is essentially HIV free. Doctors have studied him and his DNA to learn more. Possible insight into a cure.

Uh, no. He is a scientific anomaly. There is no cure for HIV, yet he is basically cured.

He has even conceived children with his wife and not passed on HIV to her.

Just watched the news about Mr. Sterling. The more I hear about it, I am convinced V set him up. The wife filed a suit against her a month ago for the "gifts" he gave her, which added up is about 2 million. That's pocket change to a woman married to a billionaire.

Stiviano Lawyer Says She's Sad Over Sterling Ban

V. Stiviano, the woman whom Donald Sterling was talking to when he made racist remarks, is "very saddened" by his lifetime NBA ban, and she didn't release the recording of their conversation, her lawyer said Tuesday.

Stiviano "never wanted any harm to Donald," Siamak Nehoray of Calabasas told the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/1kemXGO).

Somebody released it "for money," but it wasn't Stiviano, the attorney said.

"My client is devastated that this got out," he said.

Nehoray previously said the recording posted online is a snippet of a conversation lasting roughly an hour.

In the recording, the Los Angeles Clippers owner apparently is upset with Stiviano for posting photos online of herself with Lakers Hall of Famer Magic Johnson and Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.

"It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associating with black people. Do you have to?" Sterling asks.

The Johnson photo has since been deleted from Stiviano's Instagram account.

On Tuesday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver condemned the remarks. He banned Sterling for life from any association with the league or his team, and Silver fined him $2.5 million.

Stiviano has been described as Sterling's girlfriend.

In March, Sterling's wife, Rochelle, sued Stiviano, seeking the return of more than $2.5 million in lavish gifts the woman allegedly received from her husband, including luxury cars and a $1.8 million duplex.

The lawsuit claims Stiviano, 31, met Sterling, 80, at the 2010 Super Bowl.

It accuses Stiviano of engaging "in conduct designed to target, befriend, seduce, and then entice, cajole, borrow from, cheat and/or receive as gifts transfers of wealth from wealthy older men whom she targets for such purpose."

Stiviano's attorney has filed documents to dismiss many of the accusations and denies that she took advantage of Sterling, describing him as having an "iron will" and being one of the world's shrewdest businessmen.

Nehoray told the Times that Stiviano and Sterling didn't have a romantic relationship.

"It's nothing like it's been portrayed," the lawyer said. "She's not the type of person everyone says."

She was a hard-working waitress and did volunteer work helping crime victims before becoming an "archivist" for Sterling, he said.

"She had no association with any rich people before this," he said.

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office said Stiviano was a volunteer with its Victim-Witness Assistance Program in 2010 and 2011, the Times said.

This is interesting. I'm a lifelong Phoenix Suns fan and Chambers had some of his best years in Phoenix. I really didn't know anything about the Clippers ownership before this came out, but I know that for years the Clippers were a lowsy team and figured that the owner was never really committed to building a winning organization.

Tom Chambers and Donald Sterling spent their first two years in the NBA together and it did not take racist behavior for Chambers to have misgivings about his first NBA owner.

"I didn't know anything about the racist stuff," said Chambers, the Phoenix Suns broadcast analyst who was drafted by the then-San Diego Clippers in 1981 when Sterling bought the franchise for $12.5 million. "He was always slippery, slimy and sleazy about paying people. We had to fight for checks. We had to go to a different hotel every time because he never paid the bill. He was just the cheapest guy I've ever come across."

Chambers applauded NBA Commissioner Adam Silver's move Tuesday to ban Sterling from any association with the Clippers and the NBA for life, fine him the maximum $2.5 million and urge the Board of Governors to enact a three-fourths vote that can force him to sell the franchise.

"It was awesome," Chambers said. "It was exactly what needed to happen to set the tone. That stuff just can't be accepted in the NBA or anywhere for that matter.

"He's always been a creepy guy. This is great because nobody is ever going to want to rub shoulders with him. Nobody is going to want to be seen with him. It's a good thing for a guy who has taken advantage of the system and a lot of people."

Chambers said Sterling rarely talked to players during his two seasons as a Clipper but they had an idea of how he saw them because they were the only team in the league that took flights in coach. Before his first game for the team, Chambers spent his most time with Sterling when they went to dinner and Chambers said Sterling's credit card was declined.

Chambers said he never saw racist behavior or knew of any until he was part of a federal discrimination lawsuit involving tenancy of his properties. He certainly knew Sterling was odd from the beginning, when Sterling ran across the basketball floor after a game while holding a glass of white wine to jump onto Coach Paul Silas with his arms and legs wrapped around him in celebration of the team's first win.

"It was all about him," Chambers said. "I don't think he's every willingly written a check. If a coach gets fired by him, they have to go to court to get their money and then they settle for less. He was bad. Everything he did was about having pretty girls on his arm. He'd promote women but it was self-serving, narcissistic stuff."

So who will be the biggest benefactor IF the sale of the team goes forward.? Who is in the wings to buy this team. ? Will the ex-girlfriend (what ever her name is this hour) be arrested for wire tapping the phone call. If so can she be sued for financial damages by said ex-boyfriend. (along with other people involved in the recording scheme)...

Oh no, he's a douche bag to be sure. I just think with the timing and all, this was no accident. Either the wife or someone else got to her and told her, you can keep screwing this dude for chump change, or you can REALLY screw him for a nice chunk of change.

She's already said she had hundreds of hours of more tape, and it sounds like she wants hush money.

The wife is co owner of the team. If she divorces him, she stands to get half, if not more considering they were married for 57 years. He won't sue her, what does she have? Like 2 million that he gave her? That's nothing to a billionaire.

So who buys the other half of the team...She take it over for $1. sale... I heard that Magic Johnson has wanted to buy the team for years?.. That there is money lined up for his "group " to buy it. now ... (perhaps at a fire sale price) Question ,,,,, How close is he to the ex-girlfriend.....He seems to be on both sides of this story.
