stereotypes of Muslims in Hollywood need to be changed. The notion that the people writing this show aren't even of Arabic/Muslim background is ridiculous. Once again depicting all Muslims as terrorists and wife beating control freaks where women have no say in anything and are oppressed, religious and zeolist racists. Tired of seeing all Muslims depicted as American hating ,kidnapping, women stoning terrorists. 99.9% of Muslims are so far from what is depicted in Hollywood and general media. No wonder the general public in the US are afraid of Islam and Muslims. It is ingrained in our brains and it needs to stop. I wish people would educate themselves instead of demonizing over a billion Muslims because of a few crazy extremists who twist Islam for their own agendas and don't follow the true meaning and writings of Islam, their teachings and the Qaran. No where in Islam is murder condoned or allowed., EVER....it's getting old. These stories sell tickets, if it were about a normal Muslim family and their day to day life, people wouldn't be as interested. People would rather watch the demonizing of the religion than know the real truth. Feel free to watch this video.

SInce 9/11, it's been hard wired into most people's brains to think it automatically. I've challenged several members to take a trip in the MENA forum and ask questions so that they may become better informed, but it's more fun to bash Islam.

I don't know lost. Does this mean that every time a person does something, the entire country has to be held accountable for it? Do you claim responsibility when someone goes on a shooting spree and they look like you? Have Christian beliefs? Loves the 2nd Amendment?

I agree, but commercial broadcast television is for profit, so they produce and broadcast what sells. This is why television is complete garbage … we don't watch it at home, at least not the serialized shows.

However, the stereotype is engendered by more than '… a few crazy extremists'; a minority for sure, but a minority which is significant in terms of number, zealousness and political sanction/support from official some governments.
