I filed for my husband in 15/03/2014. We received our NOA2 on 16/06/2014 Approximate time was one day shy of three months. We're very excited how fast this process has went... Now we're waiting on the receipt.

It is certainly different for everyone and what country their family member is from. My husband is from Australia and has went fairly fast. I'm sure it also depends on the lockbox, Service center and Immigration Officer has the case load. Everything plays a factor when it comes to how long or fast you're petition is approved.

Good luck...

Cheers,

Turtle's Wife

Edited to add... We filed our I-130 with the Chicago Lockbox and the Service Center is TSC.

Out of curiosity which one of your petitions got approved your I129 or your I-130?

God has ordained that there should be perfect love and perfect harmony between those who enter into the marriage relation. Let bride and bridegroom in the presence of the heavenly universe pledge themselves to love one another as God has ordained they should. {LYL}

Thought to share our journey for those who need the encouragement!

We are also March fillers. Send out at begin of march and got the NOA 1 at March 17th.

Hopefully the I-130 goes soon to the NVC and we can send the rest of the forms out.

Can i fill out the DS-169 and DS 230 now and send it to my girl in to the US (With all the stuff comming with like police report...)? Or do i need a special form from the NVS with a barcode on or something?

And how about the tax returns. She made more then the 125% (something around 200%). is it enough to send the current tax return and some current paystubs?

Come on Nebraska!

Heh, that's what I'm saying.:) I'm thrilled for the Texas and Vermont filers, I really am, but I'll start feeling a little less desperate when someone from a non-expedited country gets through the NSC.

I miss my family...

Hi Guys,

So Im new here and been reading this entire thread. Hoping this will help with all the anxiety this process brings. So my Husband and I live in Barcelna. We filed first week of March 2014, our attorney is based in Boston where my husband is from. I received the NOA1 on April, with a priority date of March 27th, its being processes at the CSC. I seem to be the only one here processing in California. I really am hoping for a July approval :)

Will let you all know as soon as I hear something.

Welcome to the thread. It's really hard to gauge a timeline because each case is different. Some cases like mine get expidited while others take a year sometimes. It does look like there is less of those year long waits taking place. Just always stay hopeful that you'll get your NOA2 soon, but be prepared for the lng wait. In all cases the wait can nerve racking. Even after the case is completed there is more witing when it reaches the NVC.

It's best not to think of the time as how long you have already waited. Think of the time as being, that everyday is that much less you have to wait. Thinking like helps me. Somedays it's hard to keep that focus but it helps.

So, surprisingly I received an email from USCIS Today. However I am very confused and will call my attorney tomorrow. Apparently they changed my address when we never requested it. Good thing is theyre working on it. Hopefully its a system glitch.

On June 30, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.
