Hi Saylin,

The checklist on the VJ member arcangel87 asks for income shown in "tax return AND w2"?

[x] _(Name removed - VJ Moderation)_________________________________'s income indicated on the I-864EZ Part 19 does not correspond to that shown on the most recent tax return and W-2(s).

It seems confusing to me! Isn't it one or the other?

The tax return "Total income" amount is different than the "wages" amount in the W2.

My petitioner has filed question 19 with the Total Income from his tax return 1040 as specified on that same question19 of I-864EZ.

Am I going to get a checklist? Should my petitioner has chosen the amount in his W2?

Please let me know why NVC has asked arcangel87 for "either" one amount if it is specifically written in the form I-864EZ to use "tax return" amount.

It doesn't ask for "either" one. Read it again, that's not mentioned anywhere. I'll agree the bit about the W2 part shouldn't be there, but it doesn't say tax return OR W2, it says AND.

My priority date is March 25,2013 does this make a difference at the NVC??

Priority date doesn't make a difference anywhere for IR-1/CR-1 cases. For IR-1/CR-1 cases, there's an unlimited number of visas per year. Only for visas where there's a limited number of visas is the priority date important.

Hi Saylin, Everyone,

I have a question regarding the I-864ez. I am the USC and I am sponsoring both my wife and stepchild. Each one has their own stand-alone petition and case#. Would I still be eligible to file an I-864ez for each my wife and stepchild? Or are they considered more than one immigrant "based upon the underlying visa petition"? I do qualify on the other two points.

The way I interpret the step-by-step instructions, page 3, part 1©, I believe I'm still eligible to do so but I was unable to find any past topics where a more experienced VJ member would have reaffirmed my belief.

In any case, I have no issues completing the regular I-864, just trying to think ahead and be ready for the next steps.

We're on the same boat and my husband already filed ITR2013 which he filed single . But he already amend his status from single to MFJ.. The preparer was the one who put MFJ . My husband insist that we need ITIN but the preparer told him that he just only need my signature .. Better to call IRS then

Having trouble posting a time line, but my case was approved by the CSC on 11 Feb, and it was received by NVC on 21 Feb. Still waiting a case #. FYI I was a March 2013 USCIS filier. Hope this can be added to the spreadsheet

Gosh darn it, the AOS fees are still not available to pay! You would think that this would be automatically invoiced as soon as the DS-261 is complete.
