Isn't technology wonderful!

Technology is wonderful and not mysterious. It's actually not so difficult to keep it running for an educated and experienced professional from the private sector. The government is using our tax dollars to run that website and the downtime is perplexing. What's even more perplexing is how the general public accepts a government website to be down as just part of life, but goes crazy if their Internet supplier or cell phone goes down for more than ten seconds.

I hope everyone who reads these posts calls the USCIS on Monday and tells them that it's unacceptable use of taxpayer dollars to allow this portion of the website to be down for extended periods of time. Speak up, and vote out the congressmen who ignore this behavior and lack fleet feet to get it fixed.

Wow. Sometimes servers go down. It happens. I am sure it is not something they did on purpose, and not being able to check the case status for a bit on the weekend will not harm anyone's case/situation.

If your Internet, cable, or cell phone service goes down for two minutes, these companies will have service personnel out to fix it immediately. Why then isn't the same required of the US government who charges tax payers for services they pay contractors ten times more?

How do you know they are not trying to fix the problem? Also, you must have better service providers than I do. I have had my cable, internet and phone service go down for quite awhile before. I doubt the sent someone to fix the problem within 2 minutes. Maybe the power company gets on outages quickly, but I still doubt they get on that fast either. Of course being without power is a lot more important than not being able to see your case status over the weekend when it will most likely not change anyway. Perhaps they are smartly prioritizing their issues.

I just learned the moon was made of cheese and if you get in now, there are spaceships that can ferry it back to earth. Send me a PM and I can give you a link to send an initial 10k investment. If the first transport is successful then only 5k a month thereafter for 12 months. This is priorty and must be acted upon with 24 hours.

Are you seriously equating net, cable and phone providers, whose sole purpose is to provide those services (and rake in cash), to a module on a web site that lets you check up on your immigration case? Yes, those must be the same level of priority and urgency in both examples.
