You need to make the minimum requirements or have a joint sponsor or else there is no approval.

It is part of the requirements that you demonstrate that the immigrants will not be a public burden. Without proof no visa Some people use friends as co sponsors.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I know what the requirements are i guess the delay continues

As i stated our friends don't fit in with the requirements. Thanks

without the I-864 meeting the requirements you cannot obtain a visa.

Thankfully you're at the last stage so what you do is keep in contact with the NVC so they do not close the case and send the I-130 back to the USCIS. This will mean that when you are able to meet the requirements for the I-864 you'll be ready to send in that info and complete your case asap. During this time you keep looking for 1) a joint sponsor or 2) a job for your husband that pays well enough to cover the poverty guidelines. FYI those guidelines normally go up every year.

Just great...... My poor child has to suffer with being away from his father even longer

Frankly, making only 24,000 a year it will be a challenge to provide support for you and your child. Have you thought about how difficult it might be without that money? I only ask, because even in our situation with no rent to pay, no car payments, etc. We find it tight on more than that sometimes. Just to be realistic, I'm not sure how you could afford to live on much less, know what I mean?

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

I second this, if your husband doesn't make enough and neither his friends nor family make enough to sponsor you and your child, how will you live in the States? You don't want to be in the situation where you can't provide for your child.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

To be honest, it would be better for them to be together and struggling to support a child than to be apart and be struggling. A child in a poor family with a caring father is better off than a child in a rich family with a father who doesn't care about him, and makes no effort to teach him what actually matters in this world.

Who says this father doesn't care about his child? It's better for them to be apart and not wondering how they're going to pay for their next meal, than together and doing that. The father can still talk to his child and skype when available. Living in the USA is not cheap. There is no way I could live here on my income alone, I have no idea how people at my work do it unless they're working two jobs!

You made a rather bold assumption that because this father is in school, trying to better his life and make sure he can get a job to support his family, that he doesn't care about his child which is seriously erroneous.

Not to be rude but nobody should be making assumptions. We will be able to support our family we have a very strong connection with both sides of our family and they help us only thing is they all live here in the Cayman Islands and if they could have done the affidavit I would be set but it has to be someone who is domicile to the US and working and we don't know alot of people.

My husband is a student and he is not living off of government his mother helps him. And I was living in the states 3 months at a time on my British Passport with our son not working and not living off of the government my father was helping and also my mother in law was helping.

So before any one asks how we are gonna support ourselves leave us to decide that if i knew we would suffer we would not migrate thank you very much

Can all the relatives there pool the monies together to put in husbands American account so he can qualify on assets?

I actually asked my lawyer that and he said they would need the last 12 months of saving and if they just see a large lump sum put in right away it will look suspicious... Unfortunately
