hi i'm new on this forum and decided to join after reading certain important post, I've got lot of questions to ask and hope to find answers here. I have not send my k1 visa yet because of 3 concern I have? my first concern is that I just met my fiancé 5 month ago! And just visit him this month for one week only I did had a great time and meet all his family and friends also his coworker very nice person☺️ My second concern is that while I was there we got engaged even though I was still waiting for my divorce! I have been separate from my ex husband for more than 3 years now! And our lawyer should submit that divorce 2 year ago but he never did even though we have pay him all his fee, was my fault too for not have been paying attention to it but it's already done! Third concern is my age? I am 10 years older than him! I don't know how morocco consulate will look at all that:( please any advice will be appreciate it!! Thanks in advance!

if you are not legally divorced, do not file the I-129F.

If you are OVER child-bearing age, that's a red flag at CasaBlanca IV.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Morocco is one of the most difficult consulates because of the high incidence of fraud. It will be an uphill battle. I wouldn't advise marrying someone after only a week of face to face time, how can you possibly know someone after 7 days? Read this thread from today. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/477050-k1-visa-i-wont-marry-him/

if you really loves him then just do it but i can give you some advices to make this easy:

1- you need get your divorce first.

2- one week its not enough you should back to visit him and dont get married bcs US consulate dont believe in fast marrage.

3- you need have much evidence like visit him as much as you can and pics and phone calls conversations that can help a lot about age to makes it look real relationship.

to help you more that is my story i did post it before on here im now in US and happy with my wife

that is our story

- we met in June 2008

- we got married on my wife first visit to morocco in march 2009 ( the first red flag married in first meet)

- we filed K3 in April 2009

- first interview December 2009 it was about 40min and my wife have been interviewed too cus i told the officer that my wife is with me and he asked to see her and interviewed her too

- second interview after couple days after first one it took 30min and the officer give me 221G fraud relationship and was used that i didnt now somethings about my wife and that was not right.

- case was send back to uscis.

- got letter of intent of revoke September

- February 2011 revoke.

- start new CR1 june 2011 ( with out cancel the K3 other red flag)

- Mai 2012 interview date and got 221G cus uscis was mattching the K3 case with new CR1 and the officer in the consulate said that is illegal even uscis approved the officer said that we had K3 and CR1 in same case and she cant make decision that why she need send it back to uscis.

- July 2013 intent of revoke this time we hired a lawyer.

- August 2013 the case reaffirm

- December /5 / 2013 interview

- December/6/2013 visa issued

- December /10/ 2013 visa in hand

that is our story with visa journey it was really so hard and difficult but when you believe in Allah and be patient and faithful and in love you dont give up even we have about 20 yrs age different. ( big red flag) but hamdolillah we believe in allah and we have been patient and pray and soon we are going to start our new life together.

for all the people trying for visa now the advice is to be faithful pray believe in allah and everything will be good.

Im in US one month now, we are happy and enjoying our life together. Hope happy luck for everyone, just be patient and faithful and all will be good.

so, yer saying that a 20 year age gap was a red flag in your case, the Vice-Consul identified it as a red-flag during the first interview.

Read and learn about the consulate you will interview at. Front-load your I-129F petition accordingly. Red flags can be overcome if you provide solid evidence of a bona fide relationship. More time in person may be helpful for your relationship and getting a visa approval. You can always file the I-129F petition with the evidence of meeting and relationship you have now, then plan another trip to see each other in person while waiting for the I-129F petition approval. The petition only needs the proof of one meeting in the prior 2 years. The K-1 visa interview at the consulate is where you need to prove relationship for the visa approval.

The thread from earlier today is mine. It's filled with those who understood my question and desire for advice as the situation is what it is already at this point. It's also filled with A LOT of judgement and ridicual towards me, the US Citizen.

1st - I'm confused why so many say the Casablanca Consulate in Morocco is one of the hardest. Although my fiancé was nervous and stressed about how his interview went - it was otherwise a smooth process. I mailed my I-129f to USCIS in Texas at the very end of August and my fiancé had his interview on 12/23/13 and then arrived in the us on 1/9/14.

2nd - Vacationing in Morocco for a week (I spent almost 9 days) is much different than living together full time. I thought I did everything possible to help him understand what life was like here. I thought I had done all my homework... I was so in love, ready, and excited to have my man here for the rest of our lives and then when that dream came true it felt like I woke up in a nightmare. My head was spinning, I started to have panic attacks, I felt miserable and couldn't explain why.... There were definetly some things I learned about my fiancé (things we had discussed prior to his arrival). My now ex fiancé (whom is still living with me until next week) is hurt but understands.

3rd - I of course had to prove I made over 125% over the federal poverty guidelines which I did by sending a years worth of pay stubs, a formal letter from my employer, a year worth of bank statements, and a formal letter from my bank. I have 3 sources of income but only sent proof of my income from my career. When my fiancé received my proof of income days before his interview he questioned why it was over $20,000.00 lower than what I told him. This should have been a red flag for me but it just wasn't at the time. I explained to him that it was not necessary for me to send in proof of my other 2 sources of income because my career income was enough. I should have asked him for proof of what he kept telling me was his savings but I trusted him. Come to find out - that savings didn't exist and he arrived with not even a penny - knowing it could be 5.5 to 6 months before he could legally work here in the states.

4th - everyone's situation is different. Do not be persuaded by anyone's personal opinions or personal experiences. I wasn't at all when friends, family, and coworkers expressed their concerns - just like I'm not being pursuaded by others comments (their personal opinions) about my decision to not marry my fiancé due to my personal feelings over the things I quickly came to realize (like the things my fiancé promised were not really true). Do what is right for you and know if things change after his arrival - you have to do what is right for you both.

5th - I want you to know and hope you can tell by my previous status updates that my relationship was very real. My heart is broken that our dream come true didn't last or go according to plan. I do love and care deeply for my ex-fiancé. I know we will remain friends and continue to support each other through whatever it's is we do in our futures.

I wish you the best of luck, much happiness, and success in your visa process and future lives together.

Jesus Christ, people, lay off. How come no one's asking why he agreed to move halfway around the world after only a week of face time? That thread was closed for a reason.

To the OP: You should really try to visit at least one more time. Not only because Morocco has a tough consulate, but so you make sure you really want to commit to this man.

im new to visa journey so i apologize if i dont have the proper ettiquete.. but you just meet him 5 months ago and are going to morroco for 1 week?

Someone can fake act for a week you'll be so excited to see him and see a new culture a new place blah blah blah. how can you determine in 1 face to face week that this is the guy you want to spend the rest of your life with?

I joined visa journey because i just submitted my i-129 form a few weeks ago. I meet my fiance over 3 years ago. i went to meet him a year after we met online. I spent a month with him, then about a year and half later i went again to spend another month with him. I know it isnt all that much time but you very well know thats in addition to the hours we would talk online almost daily. I've read some other post especially's today HOT topic and was so saddened that someone would bring a guy over and then abondened him within a week of living together. I guess thats what happens when you go "on vacation" to thier country for a week. So my advice stay there much longer to know the more authentic him. Not with the whole excitement of traveling and newness of it all, find out what annoying habbits he has and then after much deliberation to find out if his feelings are true decide weather you can live with his faults for the rest of your life.

my 2 cents. hope you slow it down it bit but no worries when i met my man online i had the same feelings and was willing to sacrifice it all to spend the rest of my time with him. if you were meant to be you will be right now or 3 yrs down the road ;)

good luck wish you the best

I'm the USC.
