Recently I got email frm Uscis tht we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.what it's mean

That means your case has been approved and it's on its way to the National Visa Center. Please excuse the ignorant comment from NLR. We all look to this site for help and information, otherwise that person wouldn't be on here either if he/she had all the answers. Please don't be discouraged to ask questions again if you have them. Best of luck.

Also, should I bother checking the NVC state for an invoice and such on weekends, or do they only process on weekdays?

You can't call them on weekends but they may still send emails on weekends. It's either a delay in their system or someone working but no call center staff.

As for online I think my DS-260 became available on a Sunday so you can certainly still check the online portion.

Keep in mind, people's petitions are coming from different service centers and local offices. Some of these places send out the approved petition within days while others wait weeks before mailing them out. So, lately, the more important date (when comparing others on when they receive case numbers) is not the NOA2 date but rather when their service center/local office shipped out the case.

My comment was not ignorant at all. I simply asked the person what they honestly thought it meant.

But thank you for making an awesome assumption on my genuine question based on the fact that someone laughed. smile.png Have a great day!

Well, I had absolutely no assumptions about anybody no0pb.gif

NLR, I thought yours was an absolutely valid response to the post yes.gif In fact, Socratic method strengthens the inquirer's own point. The person should have asked something like " So is my journey with USCIS done?" or " Do I call NVC now? When should I call? What response should I accept from NVC, etc."

Yes, we are here to help each other. However, that does not mean that you can name people wrongfully in your post. Respond to people's post, just don't address them as ignorant. Everybody is entitled to say anything they believe is proper.

hi gyz,

My wife (USC) has paid AOS $88(paid status) and also paid IV fee $230 (in progress status) yesterday. We have already submitted DS-261 form to point an agent. What will be the next step ? will she receive the snail mail to submit the AOS supporting documents and IV documents or she will inform by email to submit all the supporting documents online ??? Please advice :-)

use of snail mail coming from NVC is mostly done for postal processing,

so

if'n neither of you two got ANY emails what so ever from NVC,

then yer probably jammed into postal processing mode.

If she paid online, then doc submitting instructions are actually at the payment portal, carefully buried underneath more mouse clickie things.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Have you read post 1 and 2?

Once the invoices show up as paid, print off the bar coded document cover page and mail the documents to the NVC. :)

update from us

fees paid, 260/864 submitted last week

just waiting to hear from nvc now

Very exciting to be near the end isn't it? Have you looked at Saylins description of the Montreal Consulate? She has some photos about where to line up and some drawn pictures of the inside. :)

Please read post 1 and 2.

Do I have to wait for NVC to email me instructions before mailing packages?

NO. If you wait on NVC for this, it can take WEEKS to get anything from them. As long as the respective bill has been paid in the payment portal, you can send in your package.

Members have had luck sending the packages as soon as they pay the bills (since the bar-coded cover sheet becomes available after paying). If you're not going to wait for it to appear as PAID in the portal, at least wait until the money has cleared the bank account.

What address do I send the AOS and IV packages?

You will find their addresses on their respective bar-coded cover sheets, which are printed off the payment portal.
