USCIS Website Checking Status

Hey everybody,I just wanted to know why I can't check my status online on the USCIS Website and if here are maybe others who have the same problem????????

The USCIS website case status checker is working today, but do not take what it says as the true process as the site is not being updated and has not been updated for many in the last 30 days, I know this from a small group of us on Facebook that have applied and already been approved after submitting our I-751 and even I got a letter stating my I-751 was approved 2 days ago, but have not had email or text updates as I signed up for let alone the website being updated.

You will be torturing yourselves if you rely upon it being accurate and updated daily! Take what the site says with a pinch of salt! In other words do not take it seriously!

I' m wondering how much truth there is to this because I've been waiting 30days almost with no Alien Registration number. But then again, there are lots of people here who check their status and they've been seeing changes so I'm not sure.

Just take a look to my timeline. I am absolutely sure they did update for my case. I knew that because I could see when they received our I-129F, in inital review, alien registration number changed, and post decision activity. If they don't update up to 30 days, how come I could get this message? It was a few days ago.

On October 11, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

After being a VJ member for almost a year I've seen this happen over and over again from time to time. Sometimes it won't show anything and then it will show you some strange update you've never seen before. Don't worry, give it a few hours or just wait till the next day. In our world of 'instant communication' and all of us wanting our loved ones with us as soon as possible we tend to freak out when something changes. Even though we are dealing with computers I always tried to remember that 'most of all' we are dealing with our beloved US Government so unfortunately just be patient and wait!!!

I just checked it after reading your post and had same problem. I think they re-design the website. Look at the headlines on the website.

It federal holiday and NVC is closed. That could be the reason but then again maybe they are doing some maintenance. I was able to check status today but early this morning I had issues.

Yup, my fiance told me it is Columbus day. I did not checking an update very often to be honest. I just checked it once a while and or after reading this post. I followed Anjans link and found no issue at all. My guess, like other poster said, they are doing some maintenance or re-design of new look for the website and the timing is just perfect.

Still can't check anything since received NOA1...Oh well....Just have to be patient I guess...
