They usually deny it, but it is not 100%. The fact that the co-sponsor is your future MIL is a positive. Why do you need a co-sponsor? USEM sometimes allows a close relative co-sponsor when the petitioner has good employment prospects soon, such as graduating college.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

If he has a well paying job, 6+ months worth of paystubs should be plenty. Maybe have the mother's paperwork ready just in case, but if his annualised income is over the povertyline for your family, you should be fine without a co-sponsor.

Nako, same problem tayo, te. Pero di naman daw talaga dinidisallow na may co-sponsor, however, it has to be a really close relative.. so I don't think na magkakaproblem kayo. Wala pa kaming NOA2, pero I'm preparing for that na nga eh. I've asked about the same thing.. someone said that the form i-134 and i-864 needs to be filled out to justify the financial hardship or what not. Wag ka magworry too much. smile.png

On October 2013, our I-129F Refused under 221(g)
