Is it just me or is there no way to track the GC. Everytime i log in to USCIS case status it says cannot be found. Meanwhile SSN card received in 1 week.

Hey...

You received your SSN after visiting SSN office or did it came automatically after your POE?

FYI, i have not yet received for my SSN & GC both and below are the details:

GC fees paid : 10/12/2015

POE: 10/24/2015 in JFK

Called USCIS number also, they said i have to wait for 60 days to get my 'IOE' receipt number.

Now that I have read everything, I will share my status! Hoping that it helps

I check D-260 for both SSN and GC but hadn't received anything. Payed $165 on 11/5 and had POE 11/6

I got my IOE receipt number because I made a print screen of the confirmation of the payment, when I made my payment. It says USCIS Receipt Number

Been worried about not been able to check my status, and yes you do it at the regular USCIS check status link as apparently they have changed the ELIS system August 2015 so all the talk about tracking card by login in in ELIS doesn't work anymore.

Went to an SSN office last week and was told that I was issued a number on 11/10 but that they most have "forgotten " to send me the actual card :ranting: Anyhow the lady was really nice and issued me a replacement card. I'm awaiting that now. But at least I got my SSN number from the clerk, so would advice to go to your local SSN office if it's been a while since you payed and entered US.

Talked to USCIS today about the GC and it was useless! He pretty much just read a script that he had infront and repeated that I can call back when it's been 60 days on what ever question I had. Also I have read that the GC plastic card will take at least 30-60 days, not even those who had the old system got it until after waiting a month. The only shame is that you can't track the card in the check status link, at least I can't as it just says error. I guess I'll just have to wait and wait...

Guys I'm gonna say at least 70% of the time the SSN card is NOT shipped and you have to go get it from the SSA office. If you don't get it within 2 weeks, it's not coming, go get it.

Also the error shows up until the card is actually produced. It has ALWAYS happened this way since the green card fee was introduced.

NLR...I have to disagree with you regarding the green card. Last year when i paid my mom's green fee, not only did she get it in 3 weeks, but i was able to track it every step of the way, from payment-production-to mailed.

With this new system, I see nothing...i get an error message when i enter the receipt number, the old system was much better (at least for me).

ON THE USCIS WEBSITE - you have never been able to track the green card until production. If you could, then you were the only person on this website that has stated they were able to do so with the USCIS case tracker.

Everyone could, however, track it on the ELIS site. Apparently you cannot do that anymore on the ELIS site.

Did you notice who started this thread? Have you read the whole thing?

3 weeks was the fastest a card was normally produced if the payment was done before entry.

Everyone could, however, track it on the ELIS site. Apparently you cannot do that anymore on the ELIS site.

Did you notice who started this thread? Have you read the whole thing?

3 weeks was the fastest a card was normally produced if the payment was done before entry.

U did not specify that you were speaking of the USCIS website vs the ELIS website. U simply said from the introduction of the GC fee. Furthermore, I can't speak for anyone else, but no one cares who starts a thread, everyone is here for information and to share experiences...i simply did that.

Reading the thread would have made it apparent what I was referring to. However, apparently expecting people to read most of a thread seems to be more than I can realistically expect.
