Also just got an email from the NVC with the barcoded DS-3032. As I just mentioned, my wife emailed the NVC already using DS-3032 template but is still waiting for it to be accepted. We don't need to send the barcoded DS-3032 unless the first email gets rejected, correct?

Right. This very question is in the FAQ ;)

Hi everyone,

NVC received my AOS on june 14th and my IV on june 17th. MY question do they review document first and then load in their system or first they put in system then review. I just called NVC, lady asked if i sent in my document, its 2 weeks now. Please reply if anyone knows about it. THanks

Packages won't appear in the operators' system until AFTER the review has started. Please re-read the FAQ as this question/answer is there.

ok so we received an RFE email stating that part 25 of the AOS does not correspond to the amount on the most recent federal tax return and W2 for my cosponsor.

He wrote the amount written on his W2 which is different from the amount on his federal tax return since he filed a joint tax return. Is there a resolution to this problem since these amounts can never be the same ? Thanks for your answers.

For info : he provided HIS tax return, individual W2 and some recent paystubs to the NVC in order to demonstrate his individual income... I don't understand why we got this RFE.

Call NVC and ask them. If the "20 business days operators" are no helpful, speak to a supervisor. I think that is your best bet. Good luck!!!

This might be a stupid question, but should we be calling the NVC or DOS to find out our case number and everything? We got the notice that our case was shipped out on the 25th from the NBC, so about when should we expect it to arrive? We've called the past two days and they said they haven't received the case yet.

Also for you guys, you MUST read Saylin's NVC for Montreal Beneficiaries. It goes through everything you need to know about the NVC process for Canadians who MUST do online forms and can OPTIN for Electronic Processing.

We called twice yesterday and we had the same answer twice. He should have written the total amount written on the tax return instead of his individual income written on his W2... That's really strange since everyone says to do the opposite on VJ.

That's what we did with my husband's I-864. I had US income last 2011 when I was on a J1 visa and since we got married December that year, we filed married jointly. We wrote the total on the transcript on the I-864 then attached both of our W-2's (his first, then mine, since his is what's important) to show individual income and also a letter explaining it all so it's easier for NVC to understand what's with all the paperwork.

I know it's hard because we are so close to the end of this journey. Just hang in there! smile.png We are getting a checklist too for our co-sponsor but I just accepted it and am just continually praying and hoping for the best.

Oh ok. Well what I don't really understand is that I've read people getting a checklist for having done what the NVC just told us to do (write the total of the transcript)... So then they resent the i-864 with the amount written on the W2 just like we did originally and it got accepted. blink.png

Honestly, I don't know. I haven't come across posts like that yet. >.<

After correcting the amount as NVC advised you to, you may want to still include a short letter explaining about your co-sponsor's own income & the total amount on his transcript.
