Well I am going to assume you are the petitioner. So no it is not required for you to attend the interview and not going will likely not negatively impact your case. Most petitioners do not attend the interview. And as long as you can fulfill the requirements of the affidavit of support it does not matter that your fiance does not have a job.

Do you know if any of the formas after NOA2 they asked about the beneficiary job or something about that?

Yes there is a question of employment in the DS-156 form that your beneficiary is going to fill out.

And if the beneficiary is not working, will that be bad?

No, the foreign beneficiary does not have to have a job. (The US citizen petitioner must, or at least have income/co-sponsor.) The beneficiary is expected to LEAVE his/her country and therefore leave his/her job within days/weeks after the interview. It is definitely not "bad" if they are not currently working because they will NOT be working in their native country or in the USA for many months. It's totally normal.

Thats true. all that matters is the petitioners financial standing like if he is above US poverty rate something like that. but there are also other things that your fiance must know and must answer accurately during the interview, like questions about your relationship, which is crucial. i mean one of the most common reasons why they deny k1's is the failure to prove bonifide relationship.

Godbless!

???. I agree. I am a beneficiary, and this worried me, because i left work more than a year ago to finish my nursing school here, and my fiance has been supporting me. He said that it will not reflect negatively on the petition, it would actually prove hat he can support me and we have a proof for a bonifide relationship.

People should be careful in flatly stating that a petitioner doesn't "need" to attend an interview. It highly depends on the country; furthermore, it NEVER hurts and could help if the petitioner is on the consular premises while the interview occurs. See insights herein:

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Sorry if you viewed my advice as poor, usually I do think it is a good idea to attend if possible, however the op has their location listed as France-not what I would think of as a more difficult consulate. It is true however that the petitioner is not require to attend, not being required to attend versus being recommended to attend are two different things.

in most countries for K1 Visa the petitioner isnt allowed.

Did you count them? Did you account for exceptions, when the consul learns that the petitioner is waiting on the premises and invites him/her in? Did you account for Stokes interviews?

It's not "your" advice alone, but all such advice, that merits clear understanding. I said "it highly depends on the country," so we don't disagree on this point. The petitioner needs to read the reviews for her consulate and proceed accordingly.

Sadly, it's untrue that the petitioner can't be required to attend. At least 5 petitioners were ordered to appear at the Guayaquil (Ecuador) consulate, on their own time and their own dime, or there wasn't a prayer of the beneficiaries' being granted a visa.
