How long?

Just curious, how long did everyone know their fiancee before you filed? Zhenya and I have known each other for a pretty short time, although I guess once this is all done we will practically have grown up together. Anyway, just curious if others are in the same boat, or if you have known each other longer? How do you get by being apart for so long?

We first had a relationship 33 years ago <gulp> at college. Took up where we left off in 2008 so to speak. What I find a little sad is how fast the last 5 years has gone and therefore how keen we are to get this move done !

I met him in California in March 2011... He moved to Australia on a working/holiday visa in July 2011.. He ended up staying for 18 months, we got engaged in July 2012, had lots of discussions about our future and where we wanted to be, and finally filed the I-129F in October 2012! He had to go back to the USA in Jan 2013. We are blessed to have been able to spend so much time together, but it doesn't make the time apart now any easier!
