Guys, it is clear these people are muslim. There is no point trying to be so PC and arguing it (good for you though). But chechnyan= muslim.

But, that being said, there is no evidence yet that this has anything to do with radical islam, or that their religion or ideology informed their decisions in any way. We don't know why they did this, so jumping on islamophobia, seems to me, to be not a good thing to do.

Yeah, well the dad said he was in "med school" (though at 19 it must be pre-med which is not med school), so maybe he was trying to be rich, but yeah, all gone now.

The dad said his sons are angels and the uncle said said they are losers that don't deserve to live on this earth... wow.

The sons called their father yesterday and said they were scared from the bomb but everything was okay... #######. What gall.

They came here from asylum but the dad lives in Russia now, so false asylum claim? You're not supposed to go back to the country that you "fear."

I trust you know your way around this better than I do. Doesn't really matter either way. Don't really care if they are Russian dildos or Chechnyan dildos. Just deal with the guy that's still on the loose harshly and do it quickly before he can cause any more damage. And get a hold of their parents and send them back to wherever the hell they came from. To clarify, depending on whom you ask, Chechnya is part of Russia (or the Russian Federation). However, the Chechnyan separatist movement is not exactly isolated to that part of Russia that the Russian government officially calls Chechnya. If you read the bombers vkontakte pages, they make their ties to and support of the Chechnyan independence movement pretty clear.

The unfortunate thing is that this will be on the news 24/7 for the next 6 months or more, which is probably what they wanted. On the surface it seems like a big "attention-getting" exercise.

The uncle is on nbc now being interviewed, and I feel so sad for him. The reporters are asking him what he "thinks of America" and he defends it honorably. He is visibly frustrated but ploughing through with all of their offensive questions.

Looking at "suspect #2" .. 19 years old. We all fill in the blanks with our own personal bias but for me.. whatever went wrong with the 26 year old he dragged his younger brother into it and destroyed his life like he did so many others. There is no hope for him, he will die soon or spend the rest of his life locked away.

I hope he chooses to give up so at least we can figure out what the chain of events were that led him and his brother down this path.
