What took 6 years ends with in 2 weeks of arriving to the USA. Ann decided she does not like living where I live and wants me to marry her and let her and the kids live in Arizona where she has some friends. I told her that was not a solution. I told her that I would be willing to move to Boston in 6 months that I had a lot of expenses getting her and the 4 kids here but she does not want to here any of that.

She has been speaking to her friend in Arizona and they have been telling her to have me marry her and then she move to Arizona. I told her that it would look and feel like a scam and she said her friend said that I was just making that up.

I tried telling her that it was boring and not much to do but she insisted I get her here. Well i called her bluff she said I either marry her or she would go back to the Philippines. Well, i am not going to quit my 50000 plus job and move to Arizona especially with the job market as it is. I told her if she really wants to go back to the Philippines that she needs to go next week that I did not see any point of us playing games and that her only option is to go back to the Philippines.

She will be returning next week.

Do I have to do anything after she leaves, I do not ever plan on getting married or meeting anyone else.

I will miss my 4 year year old we had a great time bonding and now it is all gone.........

Sorry to hear that. I admire your decision,to me it seems like you are doing the right thing. How could she say she doesn't like it after 2 weeks and bribing you saying she would leave?

I'm really sorry that things didn't work out for you.

I'm going to move your post to Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits, as a more appropriate forum, from the K1 forum.

Again I'm sorry I really hope she realizes what she is doing before it's too late.

Very sorry to hear your story. I hate to say it but it sounds like she didn't love you, or else the place you are living in wouldn't matter so much to her. Especially after only 2 weeks? Sounds kind of like a scam, except she realized the jig was up when you gave her that ultimatum. She may know she can't marry anyone else and adjust status. It's terrible that your child was caught up in this. I don't know if you have any recourse to get custody. I don't think you have to do anything on your end, since she didn't apply for adjustment of status yet. She essentially entered on a visa, which is now void, and she will return home (supposedly).

I'm very sorry. I know that this won't make things feel any better but It's probably better that this happen now rather than later. I pray that everything will work out for the best for you. Hang in there.

Sound like you got scammed :( maybe she was just using you to get to the US. sorry you had to go through this. this truly sucks. My husband was stationed at a small town which while it was not too great compared to where I was living before, to me it didn't matter because we're together. If she truly does love you, she'd feel the same way. I think she was hoping to get you to move to AZ so she could be near her friends but it seems to me she didn't factor in the fact that you'd spent a lot on the visa.

Best decision would be to send her back to the Phillipines I guess.

Despite going through a hard time, I'm glad you at least didn't give in to just having her move to a different location after getting married. That wouldn't solve your issues and probably not the best way to start a marriage. I's taken me a good 2 years to adjust and adapt to the US. The first few months were the easiest though. She's pretty determined if she made up her mind in 2 weeks.

Immigration-wise, you have no financial responsibility to do anything or report it. She goes back and end of story + immigration journey.

I'd like to add though, that it requires the same amount of patience after reuniting as it did when waiting apart. From both parts.

I am so sorry man, you did the right think, Do not forget your son, He is very important in your life, try to get custody. If she doesn't like the place in 2 weeks I guess its not about 2 weeks it’s about her friend, she used you just to be with her friends in USA. Hire a lawyer and try to get your kid. If she really loves you then she will stay and be with you anywhere. I wish you a good luck from my button of my heart. Trust me; you will meet a faithful woman that will love you unconditionally.

Your Algerian American friend.

Dude if that's your biological son, rush to family court and get some kind of

rights to him during summer or other holidays, never not keep up with his life, as

to her good riddance, if you marry her she'll take the house, car, clothes & your drawers

man, let her go home.....don't even re-think about it...respect to sticking to your guns

no man gets up and walk away from a good job behind some bs.
