I mailed out the AOS and IV packet on 3/15. Called yesterday they confirmed that the IV packet has been reviewed and accepted. Received an email earlier today with a Checklist saying IV packet received and still waiting for AOS packet. I understand that waiting for AOS packing is a false checklist since they both were mailed out together.

The real concern I have is, when I mailed out the IV packet, I didn't include the original birth certificate of my wife (only a notarized copy was included) because I didn't have it in my possession. I do have it now and was expecting a Checklist for missing birth certificate, but I didn't get it. Can I still expect them to request for it before completing my case? even though they have accepted the IV packet? Thanks

Mine didn't change until well after my interview was schedule-- so a month or so after case complete.

I called twice a week... Tuesday and Friday (because Monday was so busy trying to get through) For me it wasn't THAT important to know the second it completed.

You can change your address as often as you want. No need to submit multiple DS-3032s. Just one is needed. Just call NVC and update them with the new address, that's all. And if you change address again before the interview, make sure the beneficiary has an updated I-864 and DS-230 for the interview with the new address.

First off, you need a valid reason for expediting. It can't just be because you want to be with your loved one sooner. Otherwise we'd all be expediting! As far as I know, you do NOT need to be a citizen to expedite, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

No, the instruction package is sent after you pay the IV invoice. But, if you're on VJ and following the guides, you don't need it as you should know everything that needs to be sent in the IV package.

Yes, I think it's still possible. I believe they do one final check after both packages are approved, just to make sure. But, I'm not 100% sure on this. You'll just have to wait and see.

My current annual income which i am earning now will be above poverty line. But my previous recent years annual income is under poverty line because i was outside the country most of the time. And in this form, the total household income is calculated from current earning income rather than previous years' income. So I don't know how much the previous years' income effects in the decision!!!!!???? Just to be in the safe side, I am planning to have a co-sponser. Also, does the assets like bank balance will be counted while measuring the annual income??

Well, even as a LPR, you're still not immigrating to the US as you have a green card. That question is for those non-US citizens/residents.

NVC focuses on current income. My husband was below the poverty line in 2 out of the 3 previous years, and was just barely over the recent year. But his current income was almost double over (due to getting a higher paid job). We had absolutely no issues at NVC, nor the embassy. But your embassy may be stricter than Montreal, so you'd probably pass NVC alright, but not sure about your embassy.

I'm waiting for my IV packet to be reviewed, but for USCIS I sent a certified copy with urdu and english on it. We'll see if NVC accepts it.

I sent original translated to NVC along with the attested certified Urdu but thats not been accepted. Lets see if they accept the original certified urdu one, hopefully

I have a quick question as someone mentioned that, during the interview, he had to show a letter from the City Hall indicating that he isn't in the military.

I called my City Hall and they don't know what it is. Any help?

yes for the two packages they will give you a big envelope where you can put two separate envelopes inside but be sure that the Cover sheet is the first paper in every package simple as that
