Some Good News, and some Bad News!

well the good news is: The Dec 13th Interview in Paris, France was approved for the Visa! (no additional documents where asked for)

we where told to expect the Passport with the new Visa to be delivered by Chronopost within 10 days.

It has been over 20 days so far and nothing, and no tracking information yet! So should we call the Paris Embassy at this time or wait it out?

they want $20 per phone call at the Paris Embassy so maybe I should give it some more time?

Skip calling the embassy (for now), and just call DOS tomorrow once they open (they closed at 5pm today). Their number and hours are on the first post. It's free to call them and they could be just as useful. Report back tomorrow what they say (hopefully something good).

Hello EVERYONE!! I'm new in VJ. But I have a question!! My case is at the Nvc right now!! And on December 14 we got a check list for our AOS because I forgot to sing the form! On dec 17 I sent the RFE to the Nvc! On Monday dec 31 I got a check list from the NVC saying that they got my IV package and it was accepted but they are still waiting to get the check list they I already sent on dec 17!! Is it a fake check list because de hasn't review what I sent on dec 17?? Or it means what I sent on dec 17 is lost??

False checklist.

AOS Invoiced and paid today!!!

Grats! Yay for progress :) How's the AOS package looking? Cause you should be able to send it soon, once the AOS appears as paid in the payment portal.

Case still hasn't arrived at NVC, do I have something to worry about here? I know it might be taking a little longer because of the holidays but shouldn't it get there by now? :(

Absolutely nothing to worry about. Processing times have slowed down a bit due to holidays. You need to be patient. A member just posted on 12/31 they got their case number and their NOA2 was 11/28. You still have a while to wait.

Actually....so, I'm applying for my 2 boys. Only one of their AOS bills came through. I thought it was just because I only need to pay one time, but turns out my youngest son hasn't been processed yet.

Should I be worried?

only pay ONE AOS fee bill. In time, the casefiles will be joined up at NVC. When joined, one only pays one fee of 88 bucks, total.

Pay more? NVC Thanks You - they use the overages to fund the Christmas Party.

At this point you should beat on an NVC Human, to get the casefiles joined up at NVC.

yes, I know to only pay once, and I did earlier today. Just wondering why my oldest son's DS-3032 email was accepted, but not my youngest as I sent them seconds apart. I called NVC earlier as well, and he wasn't much help. will try again tomorrow.

Should I send the AOS and IV packets separate, together or my choice?

I'm hearing conflicting answers. One says to do whichever way I want. Another is saying that they wont move forward with the IV packet until they get the AOS packet and that only e-filers get to send in both packets at the same time...

You can send either together or separate. It IS your choice. Since the AOS and IV are two separate tracks, it does NOT matter which they receive first. They'll review it nonetheless.
